    That old school fighters are better than modern day fighters.

    "But...but old school trainers died and took special techniques with them!"

    Just stop with that ****.

    Fair point agree with you

    but i dont think they make that knid of money fighting the mormecks and thompsons, probably have to fight 3-5 fights against that sort of opponent to make that sort of money surely that would be more damaging

    -Muhammad Ali was being dominated by George Foreman before Foreman tired. Ali was landing the cleaner shots upstairs throughout the fight, Foreman was doing the superior bodywork.

    -The term "pound-for-pound" was invented for Sugar Ray Robinson. It was probably popularized by him, but writers called fighters like Tony Canzoneri and Bob Fitzsimmons the best "pound for pound" before Ray.

    -Marvin Hagler was an aggressive, come-forward brawler. Sugar Ray Leonard was a fleet-footed dancer. Watch their fights and you'll see how they fought in different styles depending on the opponent/situation.

    -Aaron Pryor was ducked by Sugar Ray Leonard and the other big names (thanks Legendary Nights). Not only was he in a different division, he was offered a career high payday to fight Leonard, but wanted more money. He was later offered more to face Roberto Duran, but declined it when he had managerial issues to deal with.

    -Meldrick Taylor went from a future ATG to a ruined spent force after Julio Cesar Chavez (thanks again Legendary Nights). Diminished? Yes. Ruined? He had the 2nd best win of his career a year AFTER losing to Chavez, in a division he really wasn't suited for. I've never heard a solid argument on how he was gonna be this ATG with his style, weight problems at 140, and the serious talent level at 147.

    -Boxing has had one title until the more recent alphabet stuff. False. Since the 1920s, there's always been at least 2 major titles. Back in the days, the NYSAC and NBA USUALLY had the same champ, but not always.

    Are those buttboys cheap?
    I figured I don't have enough for quality call girls, but twinks should be less expensive right?

    That somehow speed is inversely proportional to power in a punch.

    F=mass*acceleration

    Yes a lot of fast punches are arm punches, losing mass, but all else being equal a faster punch will be more powerful one.

    I heard a vey scandalous rumour about Cus D'amato that is apparently common knowledge in boxing circles. If true it more than blows his mythical reputation...but I shan't repeat incase it is bollocks.
