Why do people criticize David Haye so much?

    Why do people criticize David Haye so much?

    The guy won WBC WBA WBO Ring CW titles and the WBA HW title all within 24 fights. Thats brilliant.

    He beats the top CW champ, unifies with the WBO champ, then jumps up and beats a 50-1 HW champ, beats Americas top HW of the decade in Ruiz.
    Fragomeni who Haye beat went on to become a world champ at CW.

    So Haye didnt beat Wlad, but during Wlads latest world champion reign, Haye has done better than Byrd, Brock, Austin, Brewster, Ibragimov, Thompson twice, Rahman, Chagaev, Chambers, Peters and Mormeck.

    Haye did better than all of the others regradless if people make fun of the toe excuse. Haye did better than all of those other HWs where many were top 10.
    Ive seen people rave about how good Byrd was and he didnt do as well as Haye.


    So why criticize a fighter who in 24 fights was a unified 2 division champ who had won 4 legit world titles and a magazine title and challenged the top man in the 2 divisions he has fought in.

    Why??

    americans criticise him because hes not american, its a jealousy/***** envy type thing.

    the hw scene was amazing when the americans were on top according to americans ....when they arnt...it becomes a 'nothing division'

    5 years ago when britain was ruling 167 it was a nothing division...as soon as they got one fighter its a 'hot division'

    Its very true what you say about the SMW division. Right now it is a very weak division, with prospects who have fought nobodies as top 10 fighters, but because Ward is the premier man, they say its a top division. If you look at the division around 6 years ago, it was all proven top 10 fighters who were either world champs or former champs etc, now as said, its just prospects like Groves and Oousthuizen who although may be good fighters who will go on to do something, havent yet but are still rated :nut.

    Maybe you are correct and it could be jealousy

    The whole ducking K2 nonsense is the most annoying part of the Hayeters agenda, claiming he is a liar/coward/fraud etc whilst having the double standards of K2 pulling out of more fights than Haye ever has.

    - vs Wlad Setanta goes bust just before the fight, had Haye gone ahead he wouldnt have been paid

    - vs Vitali 1. Haye gets over 1m more to fight Valuev instead without any rematch clauses & options on his next 3 fights

    - vs Vitali 2. After being told by Boente to fight Chisora to get the fight K2 send through a contract which Haye doesnt refuse. However, after taking the Chisora fight the contract for a September fight is withdrawn

    People criticized Haye long before the toe.

    Bitchko fans hated him for no other reason than he said he could knock them out. Even though both Bitchkos have been knocked out multiple times in the past, apparently it is impossible to do it again and anyone who says they will is a liar, a coward, and a fraud.

    Excellent thread, another point is that Haye traveled to France and into the lions den to face Mormeck to win his CW title. He traveled to Germany to face Valuev and once again traveled to Germany to face W.Klitschko. Haye has proven himself willing to travel and make all of the biggest fights. Now he's desperate to face Vitali Klitschko, which would involve him travelling to Germany again to face the consensus number 2 HW on the planet.

    People praise Froch for the same approach, but Haye doesn't get any credit, as he's proven himself just as willing to face all comers, and he'll travel anywhere to face them.

    Its astonishing what Haye has achieved in 20 odd fights ,if he was American he would be a global superstar worth billions..

    Excellent points that get forgotten amongst the critisism. Haye has no fear of travelling to take on the best.

    Little Brittard forgot to do his homework :lol:

    Sauerland had options and made money off of Haye's next fights + a rematch clause for Valuev (Thank god Valuev chose to retire after that fixed farce)

    Accept it, my lad. David is nothing but a circus act after Wladimir exposed him. Fighting for Intercontinental titles in 10-rounders :lol:
