No there was no fix, and no real foul play Foreman was overconfident and was baited by Ali into fighting the stupidest fight possible and lost.

    NO........! NO........! NO.........!

Even allowing for differing opinions, anyone who claims that there WAS a fix,is just allowing their minds to fall prey to conspiracy theory laden complete and utter BOLLOCKS....! :fire :fire :fire

Ali had the brain to realise that a major change in tactics was necessary. He managed to adapt...............with honours.

Even n entire arsenal of smoking guns would not get d recognition that this fight was rigged . i think it's better 2 let d Ss here 2 keep enlightening each other . who knows ? this board might b filled with some referees and judges in some of Ali's fights , his attorney , family members and a few closet homosexuals whom he was a male model 2 .
And of course a few lowly paid journalists whom need something 2 write about . Don't try taking away from their future incomes , more books r on d way !
Every rigged fight in Ali's career is just a myth , he was d gr8est !

Foreman did not look up to par, and 'sluggish' even for Foreman the ropes and the count were always sketchy and the trainer makes the case even more peculiar...

Foreman looked as dangerous as ever in the first few rounds. He was the same guy who blitzed Frazier,Roman and Norton. Ali made him gas out.

    Muhammad Ali

    Defeating George Foreman -

The same man who couldn't make Ken Norton take a step backwards.

The same man who couldn't hurt Joe Bugner.

The same man who couldn't even put a dent in Rudi Lubbers.

The same man who took '14 1/2' Rounds to stop Chuck Wepner.
