He seems pretty good. He has good game plans, and he is into fittness and the psychological aspects of the sport.

His game plan against Wlad was awful. Without trying to sound like a BRITARD if Haye went all guns blazing like he did against Chisora i think he might have pulled off a win.

mediocre, he does some things well but then there are things I hate watching. Against Wlad Haye didn't even make an attempt to work inside.

Haye did not go guns blazing against Chisora. He fought his normal style. He needed to go guns blazing against Wlad, though.

He's okay. I think limited in the sense that he caters game-plans towards a counter-punching based style no matter what. His fighters are more counter-puncher types, and he knows his fighters but lacks adaptability. Either its his limitation or he realizes the limitation of his fighters. Haye fought basically the worst possible strategy against Wlad if there was a strategy outside of his style at all.

Difficult to say really, I know he pays incredible about of attention to the opposing fighter when coming up with a gameplan, but I thought against Wlad for example he would have had Haye do simple things like jab to the body more

But then in the opposite corner is Emmanuel Steward who had a PERFECT gameplan for Wlad, and when you have a perfect gameplan for a fighter who has nearly every other physical advantage it's hard to do anything about it

One thing I will say about Haye is that his balance is absolutely terrible, his legs are far too wide, which means he needs to reset after he throws, not correcting this can be attributed to Adam

But then when pre-Wlad he had beaten every single one of his opponents and was in a competative fight with Wlad himself then I suppose he would have had no reason to change it

He would have struggle to beat Wlad whatever he did. He would have certainly made the fight more entertaining though. He has the power to knock Wlad out so he may have scored a knock down or two. He would however have increased the chance of being knocked out himself or being knocked down and hurt at least. Wlad's jab and the feints he uses off it are the perfect way to shut down Haye's speed and reflexes. A solid jab can really offset a faster guy. That's what Wlad would have done whatever I think. Wlad's footwork also keeps him out of trouble, though if you really pressure him you can make him go back in straight lines; Haye could exploit this but I don't think he has the stamina to do it consistently enough.

Wlad & Steward developed Wlads jab specifically for Haye, notice it was different to all his other fights (as was Wlads level of aggression)

The whole gameplan from Steward relied on keeping Haye off-balance

The best way to deal with a counter puncher is feinting, a normal jab would be followed by a slip and a counter punch, if you only feint the jab, you force them to slip, and slip, and slip and you catch them off guard when you actually do throw it, you also limit the counter punching oppertunities (hence Haye's low output)

Wlad had a jab that he threw out half way, stopped it, feinted it, and then finally threw it

Combine this with Haye's poor balance and it worked beautifully, Wlad implemented it to a T

When I have time I will actually make a thread on it

Yeah Chisora forces him to throw shots. If he could have thrown less he would have done. Agreed. He should have gone at Wlad more. His normal style, combined with stages of proper and maintained assaults on balance was what he needed against Wlad for the best chance to win. Trying to counter Wlad is too hard because of the excellence of his jab and the way he makes you react to his feinted jab, and then hits you when you aren't ready. Problem before was he threw one shot at a time. This alone made Wlad back up a good 6 feet. If he had thrown 6 or 7 he could have got Wlad against the ropes, landed and then gone back out again to regroup and re-energise. Wlad's defence is really his footwork. He simply moves back out of range and throws his big strong arms up to smother shots. If he has his back to the ropes or fights a guy with a long reach who can feint him effectively and use misdirection he can be caught and caught hard. I can imagine Lewis throwing the shots at Wlad that he KO'd Rahman with and I would find that interesting. Haye landed based off speed but he would need to do far more because of his stature. His stamina is a hindrance though.

Booth is a decent trainer but a horrible manager. I think his mouth hurts himself having more fighters in his stable.

Excellent analysis. This is exactly what happened. Worked like a charm.
