these are really not comparable due to the following reasons.

    1. margarito and ortiz made the contracted weight on the first try.
    2. margo and ortiz fight night weights were not official.
    3. pacquiao and mayeather's skills offset the huge weight difference.

Broner weighed 143 lbs this morning, don't you think that he still has plenty of time to put on more?

Right so will they be 3lbs difference when they get in the ring? I doubt it, much more than that. The whole ****ing point of weight classes is to protect the fighters, if Broner wants an advantage of being bigger come fight night he better boil his ass down to weight. But no what does this twat do? Steps on the scales then ****s off to a restaurant and starts rehydrating while Escobedo been working his ass off to make the weight.

He even had an opportunity to weigh in today but ****er couldn't make that weight either! This is not the same as what Margarito or Ortiz did because those two probably kill themselves to make weight which is a disadvantage in itself. Look at Brandon Rios last fight, he was **** because at least he tried to boil his ass down and it effected him, Broner didn't even try.

why can this mexi mother****er not get his weight up today. can he not put on weight is 140 the highest he can go. put on weight get rained on hundreds of thousands and try to beat brush my hair boy. he only had a 3lb head start and youre getting compensated for it. if he fights in september instead he will probably over train and that will be the excuse for losing that fight. if he were to lose it would be better to lose to brush my hair boy and blame it on this since everyone is behind him right now.

Also someone posted that Escobedos' trainer suffered a career ending injury from sparring someone bigger, if what that poster said is true then I can see why Escobedo pulled out.

The second limit surpassed was a 3 pound rehydration difference (140 vs 143), but the first imposed was a difference of 3.5 pounds of muscle mass. The rehydration limit agreed to was set where it was to attempt to equalize that difference. This started with a very significant difference of 3.5 pounds of what was largely muscle (and some fat from the trans-fat-loaded twinkies...)
