Dehydrated weight can be viewed as a BASE WEIGHT. Minimal water weight. Therefore, you can see a 3.5 pound difference as a 3.5 pound difference of MUSCLE MASS. In professional boxing, this matters.
puga i understand broner didnt make the weight. so is it a principal thing to you or can he really not get his weight up today. so hes 140 now are you guys saying he cant gain anything more before the fight happens like hes stuck at 140 but broner can keep putting on weight. thats all im trying to figure out. why are we acting like he cant gain any more weight himself.
Please stop responding to my posts, my patience is short and I don't feel like "debating" a ****ing ******. Dude has zero financial backing, has no exposure, is known nowhere, has already been beaten multiple times, is in a weight class that isn't going to put him in a position to shine, and flat out isn't good enough to be a top level draw or fighter...period. Have you ever even seen dude fight, seriously?
gobb im not saying it doesnt matter it does thats why hes got offered more than double his purse. but what i hear is its a health risk because brush my hair boy can weigh 150 and im asking why cant that other mother****er do the same. is 140 highest his body can go. or is it a principal thing with him.
For one thing, it's hard to put a price on health. Second, it's too late for Escobedo to put on muscle mass. He can only rehydrate and HOPE Broner was more dehydrated at weigh-in than he was (and since we have every reason to believe at this point that Broner never intended to make weight, this is doubtful). The best pro athletes, contrary to what every weightlifter wants to believe, can only put on about an ounce of muscle per day (without steroids). He can blow up to 150-152 pounds if he wants, but it isn't going to be the same as a 150-152 lbs Broner who was 133.5 at the weigh-in.
Some people can rehydrated more than others Chevez weighs 180 lbs no one else at the weight does, same goes for Ortiz who weighs 164 lbs.
You're talking "blame", I'm talking about "reason", it's irrelevant who's to blame, the bottom line is Escabedo is gettin horrible advisement and is doing himself a disservice, bottom line. Blame Broner...that's fine, I agree horribly unprofessional, but doesn't change the fact Escabedo will never generate enough money to cover what he's costing GBP/HBO, and this will hurt his career as it won't be forgotten.
