    he should of at least been given a chance to fight against someone he could beat, but he only fought once for the world title, and against Lewis he lost soundly

    What is your opinion of him as a fight? I don't know much about him, but with him being an Olympic silver medilist he must be decent, yet I see on boxrec he has lost most of his recent fights.

    Does his style suit the amateurs more?

    If Benny Briscoe was fighting today, he'ddefinitely pick up one of the many paper belts lying about. The man fought back in the days where there was only 1 recognized champion.

    Graham was really good boxer. It is shame most of the time you see Graham mentioned it is when someone is posting video Jackson knocking him out.

    I was little kid when I saw Jackson first time from taped VHS record. Quite time has passed by since that day. :lol:

    McCallum, Kalambay & Jackson some guys he fought..!

    Golota was not robbed in either of those fights. I had Golota winning against Byrd, but only by one point. A draw was fair to me. Ruiz deserved the decision against Golota. Was he robbed against Lewis too?

    he deserves the decision against montiel and too bad he won't be a world champion anymore because of the tragedy that happened in his last pro fight.

    I thought Katsidis briefly held the WBO 135 strap...:huh

    Anyway, to add to the list...

    * Jim Driscoll (claimed the featherweight title, never won it outright even though he schooled long time featherweight champ Abe Atell just after the turn of the 20th century)

    * Lew Tendler (had the misfortune of coming along when Benny Leonard was at his best)

    * The Black Murderer's Row (Holman Williams, Cocoa Kid, Charley Burley, Lloyd Marshall, Jimmy Bivens being the best known of this group). A bunch of extremely talented welterweight, middleweight and light heavyweight contenders who couldn't get title shots and had to settle for facing one another over and over again.

    * Yaqui Lopez (had stirring battles with Saad Muhammad, Victor Galindez, and John Conteh, but could never win the LH title in the 70's despite running all them close)

    * Oba Carr and Wilfredo Rivera (two fixtures in the welterweight rankings in the 90's who had near misses against the main titleholders of the period, and who might have been able to pick up the 147lb strap in other eras)
