    Yeah I agree

I don't like saying it but what happens if he takes the fight and is seriously hurt?

    Exactly.

Not saying they should hang Broner out to dry, but at least don't try and put the onus back onto Esco to take the fight.

They should be practically on their knees begging.

    Agreed.

Given that Haymon and DLH practically run HBO he'll be shut out now :-(

Ideally he'd get that. Can't see it though :-(

  3. off / on / off .......

    which is it ?

Hope it's off. Broner needs a hefty fine and a ban for this ****.

He could sue or while he has GBP/HBO by the balls make it count.
3 fights including another go for the strap on their undercard at the same pay rate.
**** em over royally, HBO will be fuming.

Way too big and probably cutting shedloads of water to make weight. He's as big as most welters, who in turn are 150-155lbs

I think he did try to make 130lbs but he would have been very dehydrated at 133 and as soon as he drank some water he'd add those 10 pounds back. He'll probably be 148 in the ring if not more

Pretty ironic you talking about Hatton and a guy going upto 150lbs not fighting against welters, given that's what Hatton did for much of his early career

Broner is a fraud, got comprehensively beaten by Ponce De Leon, only casuals would see him and think he is the next superstar, just like Adam Smith does.

    What a ****.

I read 400 gs in the general forum, there was a tweet from Al Haymon that they were going to make once last offer to make the fight.

Original offer I read was 150gs with 30 extra on top for Broner failing to make weight.

The scene also say that a close source has stated that Escobedo's has been offered as much as $400,000 to move forward.

Don't know I read that he weighed 140 lbs earlier when Broner was also meant too but didn't.

No mention of his current weight.
