    Yup, I'm happy for them.

Although my above post may need correcting. Not entirely sure about the 148 limit, as I thought I read it on the Scene (can't find it now). Also, the 400 grand is only a rumoured figure. Esco's team haven't confirmed it. That sure is a hell of a lot of money seeing as though Broner himself was only due to get 300 grand.

Good for Escobedo! At least he is being compensated for fighting an unprofessional douchebag. I am happy for him and hope he prevails. Shame on Broner. I didn't really dislike Broner until this incident. I just saw his stupid pictures on twitter of twinkees and ice cream bars. I hope he gets knocked out! Actually, I hope Broner dominates for about 8 rounds and then gets knocked out of the ring. I don't mean through the ropes either, I mean over the top! I hope it's hook right, good night!

Fair play to Funeka, as he went through with the fight despite Guzman being a RIDICULOUS 9.5 pounds overweight. Think he came in at 144 for a 135 fight.

Ironically enough, Funeka tested positive for Furosemide (diuretic) post-fight.

So they both cheated - Guzman just said **** it, and Funeka tried to be underhand slick, but he still made weight.

Escobedo getting paid over 150k more than Broner for this fight. :rofl Pretty damn amazing for a guy brought in to lose the fight.

That'll provide his family for years if he knows how manage his money. Broner's cheating and disrespect screwed a lot of powerful people. I'm sure this experience will humble him a bit.

Broner will probably come in at over 150 tonight, basically a jr middle. I hope this debacle gives Escobedo a mental edge and set the stage for an upset.

Escobedo is in a win win situation. He wasn't going to pass up on this fight. This is probably more money than he's ever received and more than he'll ever get again. Plus, he now has a built in excuse if he loses by pretending that the three extra pounds was the only reason why he lost.

I can't blame him for accepting this deal.
