Yes it was to prove a point to answer what was put to me, but not the point of the thread. Its a shame how they go sometimes
Gobbecock don't try to blame us because Wlad went the usual eastern euro route of fighting cab drivers every two months to pad his record and happened to get knocked out in the process. There's nothing wrong with that. Some people will gradually progress in standard while fighting a few times a year, some people will fight 10 or so bouts in a year against bus conductors. Wlad for example fought 12 times in 1997 against people pulled from a Spartak Moscow crowd After 15 fights Haye won the European Cruiser belt It's just how things go Winning a belt in 15 fights is an acheivement. Beating 15 or so no names who are all part-timers....not so much.
Very good point about Haye winning the European CW title in good time, and he defended that against a fighter who became a CW world chap also
I said before Wlad-Haye was even signed that it wasn't a big fight. It wasn't a mega-fight--it was a product of hype (by Haye). Check my post history. Then why are you considering it somehow worse for Wlad to have lost after two years than for Haye to have lost after two years? They both got stopped after only two years as professionals when they were young. If it's worse that Wlad got stopped by less-than-stellar competition than the fact that Haye got stopped by less-than-stellar competition, it must be because Wlad had more fights at the same point. You must be faulting Wladimir for being the more active fighter, then, as he had more fights at the same point. What else? They're both embarrassing losses. See how dumb your argument is that only number of fights matters (and specifically "the first 24," as everything else is off limits by your decree), somehow separated from number of years as a pro? You can't separate them. Both are relevant. Oh, so as a Klitschko and Haye fan, you want to claim Wlad's loss was to weaker competition Purrity was bigger than Wlad. Purrity had a higher KO percentage than Thompson. Thompson began his career as a light heavyweight and stayed at catchweights close to 175 for his first thirteen fights. Both early KOs look bad. Most see Haye's as worse. So? A sign of the esteem people held Wlad in even early in his career. That's a lot of pressure. Who cares? You come across as a child in a sandbox defending the arbitrary limits of "his territory" against the other kids. You can't define the practical bounds of an argument to suit your frivolous case. Oh, so you're again going to argue that Wlad's higher level of activity is in some way a negative (only after I point this out, you'll retreat from it again). Who reigned longer? Who still reigns? Does that matter to you? The cruiserweight division. How illustrious. Now considered a top 10 ATG HW by most spectators. What would Haye have to do to be considered a top 10 ATG at heavyweight? Do you think he ever will be, as the unbiased Haye and Klitschko fan you purport yourself to be?
:rofl Dont bother with these kids, my lad. They try to spin things their way even when everybody and their mother knows Haye is an utter joke.
Because is mouth is his BEST quality and he is a hype job. At cruiser weight he won and unified WBA WBC WBO titles through two fights. Which means he defended WBA WBC titles once and WBO 0 times. He never faced a mandatory chalenger. WBA and WBC titles through KO from a punch behind the head. WBO he won of Enzo Macarineli an ATG cruiser certainly. His WBA title was a fraud. Yes he did beat Valuev, but that was after Evander Holyfield beat him, but was blatantly robbed. Valuev did not beat anybody to become champion. He was given the belt as a gift after it was torn from Ruslan Chagaev who had previously beaten him. This all happened after Wlad beat Chagaev in a fight where Chagaevs title was not at stake. So it is a real stretch to call David Haye a heavyweight champion. In fact its almost impossible unless u r a britard. David made only 2 defences of his "title" against a shot and post prime John Ruiz who while in his prime was beat by James Toney a true giant (5' 10''), Roy Jones (5' 11' ) a blown up light heavy at that point and FrAudley Harrison then EBU Champion. FrAudley then claims to have had a pectoral muscle tear (chest muscle) and who in his previous fight won his title in a 12 rd KO of Michael Sprott who outboxed him through whole 12 rounds!!!!!!!! and whom he KOd few years back. By the way Haye ducked Steve Cunningham then the IBF champion. Now he KOd Dereck who lost his confidence due to multiple loses and is pretty easy to hit as seen on youtube. A big punch doesnt make u a great fighter. David Broken toe Haye hype job. P.S. name a Vitali fight that was more boring than David Haye vs Nikolay Valuev David Haye vs Audley Harrison David Haye vs Wladimir Klitschko
All 3 fighters were much bigger than Haye. The one time Vitali fought someone his own size with some skill, he got his face and his soul amputated :hi:
