if you look at my comments, i've been a pretty fair critic of floyd and don't go overboard. i only use the term "leftovers" or "shot" to show the hypocrisy on some of the floyd fans (*****s) posts. i can give praise to him but not the way he is painted on these threads like he is some kind of a god. most of the time it's a diss on his die-hard supporters who have infested this forum since he came back from retirement. you would not see much of them before here at ESB back in 2007.

    14 years equals "these days"?

unify meaning fight just 1 other guy that has a belt after winning a title, not unifying the entire division....

the point is, if he was the man at those divisions, and even now its an even worse argument for him to fight anyone other than his equals when he does decide to pick his opponent....

That is ampossible at this point...He has no current equal (Sorry Pac fans), and really has not for his career...that is part of why he is great. He is so far above and beyond others of his era. None of his contemporaries are in his range, unless perhaps you count RJJ and to a lesser degree Hopkins and Toney. Wlad certainly deserves to be considered as much as I dislike (or rather am not a fan of their personalities and fighting styles) Floyd and Wlad they are the best thing in the past 5-10 years.

absolutely. i'd favour him against kosta, hatton and cotto at 140 and against everyone available at 147. and yet he avoided every remotely competitive fight in his prime

Nothing special about being undefeated because plenty if boxers done it before. So did the boxers of today and in the future.

Impossible? No current equal? Why? because of his last 5 fights? Floyd last 5 fights sucks, he beat smaller fighters 1-2 below his weight division (Hatton & Marquez ) and made them move up to his weight division not to mention weight cheated the smallest one.

Faked his retirement to duck young prime Mosley and Cotto then many years later when they are past their prime suddenly he found his balls to fight them not to mention he sucker punched Ortiz just to ensure his victory.

So these are the mean reasons Floyd has no current equal? LMAO! Maybe its more believable if you only said he beat the great Judah, great Gatti and the great Baldomir many years back.

Say what you want about Floyd, but he did NOT fake his retirement. He made a **** load of money and decided to retire. It's too bad he (like most new money) is an idiot when it comes to handling money. So props to him fir coming back and maximizing his revenue at every fight, cuz with his "spend what you earn" mentality, who knows how long the money will last.

Actually Floyd is still technically the lineal champion at 147. So don't make it seem like Floyd is just collecting belts (which is exactly what Pacquiao has been doing).

If you want an education on what being the lineal champion means and why Floyd is still the lineal champion at 147, watch this video

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QedfxuJMTT8&feature=plcp[/ame]

... oh and btw this guy can't stand Mayweather. So don't even play the bias card.

The surplus of belts has confused a lot of you on who the real champions are in these divisions.
