Round 1

Cano is diving in, hooking high and getting tapped across the head with left and right counters. Perez is looking comfortable on the backfoot playing matador, landing power shots as Cano dives in and arches his back, tucking his chin.

10-9 Perez

 

Round 2

Cano is coming forward aggressively, windmilling a bit. Perez is still catching him with shots over the top but giving up lots of ground. Cano is willingly taking shots coming forward, but getting close and landing.

Round 3

Perez is jabbing Cano in the face and circling away to the left as Cano comes hammering in, windmilling and throwing big right hands. 1-2 by Perez to stay off the ropes, then stepping back and springloading a left hook trap for Cano. A bit of puffing under Cano's eye.

29-28 Perez

 

Round 4

Perez is trying to decapitate Cano with the 1-2, really following through on the cross with a forward snapping motion in his upper body. Cano is starting to calm down a bit offensively now, working behind a jab from outside. As I say that he comes bashing in with crazy hooks again. Counters down the middle by Perez. Both landing. Fans getting their money's worth. Hard overhand right by Cano! Stiff jab up into the face by Cano. Perez has a cut on his cheek now. Perez looking a bit ragged, flapping in and holding Cano.

Cano looks so damn pudgy, been hitting the tamales lately? :yep

At least he made weight for this world title opportunity (at the 140 lb limit) - unlike SOME people. :bart

 

Round 5

Cano is coming forward, throwing hard hooks to the body. Perez sticks his jab out and circles left. Big hook to the body by Cano. Perez keeping his distance, then jumps in to clinch. Luis Pabon not having it. NICE left hooks by Cano. Perez getting caught with huge punches as he tries to grab. Perez backs up to the ropes and is unable to keep Cano off with jabs. BIG POWER SHOTS by Cano jumping in on him!!
