With Adrien "weight problem" Broner failing to make wake and subsequently vacating the title, do you think Will's team will chance a shot at the vacant belt?

Last I read Will had quite a high ranking with the WBO. It's a safe bet Escobedo will retain his 1# ranking with the org because of the weight issues. How do you boys see Will and Escobebo going down?

I watched the first 4 rounds of the HBO fight but switched over to the UFC for the Lombard fight. Broner was imposing himself and his fast hands were negating the fight in close and at a distance. I think Will vs Escobedo would be a good scrap :bbb

For sure. But I had heard that his fight is going ahead with Escobedo and if Escobedo wins, he picks up the vacant title. If Broner wins, nada.

Broner won by KO round 5 by towel.

WBO will probably let escobedo keep a high ranking because Broner came in 3 pounds over the limit.

Sorry mate, I gotta keep up. Escobedo took the extra cheddar to fight an unfair fight. Having said that, its hard to have seen those extra pounds making a big difference this time round.

Yep. Lets hope for Escobedo v Tomlinson.

All good mate. I think Escobedo would be a bit too much for Will at this stage tbh. The fight today did'nt really give Vincente much justice in regards to what he can do. He fought his ass off in the Katsidis fight at LW a few years back

I don't see their being a better opportunity for him, his young and in good form.

A perfect time to prove he's not content to sit on the IBO trinket.

Juan Carlos Burgos (WBO #2 at 130) may have something to say ahead of Tomlinson after his scintillating 3rd round stoppage on ESPN FNF.

And rightfully so. That was clearly an unfair figtht on the weekend. Props to Escobedo for fighting on and saving the card (and his pocket).

How do you see Will going against either Vincente or Burgos?

I would back Burgos to batter Tomlinson...little to no doubt about that IMO.
Burgos has fought the FAR superior opposition & is arguably a top 5 130 Pounder now.
Power & size would be extremely tough for Tomlinson to handle.

Escobedo would have a fair natural size advantage over Tomlinson also & it would be an interesting fight to see. Would also favour Escobedo but depending on the amount of tough wars he has been in, it could be closer than i believe.
