Anyone else feel sorry for Escobedo when he broke down during the interview with Kellerman?

He was clearly put under pressure to fight. Stuck in a catch 22 situation (what with a new family at home) he took the money which went against all his morals & beliefs knowing he was gonna take a beating for his troubles.

I was chuffed when Diaz through the towel in. No doubt they discussed it before the fight. No point taking a sustained beating.

broner should be suspended for failing to met 2 conditions, one after the other. what a disgraceful cheat. much respect towards escobedo, he took a fight which he didnt have to. being duped twice.

Escobedo was a bit ***gish at the end. No one forced you to take a career high pay day. You ***** yourself, you can't start crying now.

Also from what I heard Esco was 143 and broner was 148 come fight night. Not the biggest size difference I have ever seen.

Yes Broner failed to make weight but let's not pretend for a second this is the first time this has ever happened.

Glad Broner is moving up will like to see him finally in with the big dogs.

It was pretty clear that he was pressured in to saving the fight that wasn't his to save. Broner didn't give a **** about making weight, thinks he is a big enough name to get away with it already...he clearly isn't. Escobedo has just had a baby, the money will clearly help this out...the guy was virtually blackmailed in to fighting a fight he shouldn't have had to take seen as Broner broke the contracted weight, twice.

Big difference. Esco pushed himself in training to make 130lbs. Broner did not. Fight night weight difference is massive when taking that in to consideration.

    Doesn't make it right.

**** off you silly *******. Escobedo didn't have to accept the fight. Once he did there is no point crying about it.

Yes Broner took the ****, yes he failed to make weight. But he was not margarito in that ring by any stretch of the imagination.

You don't know how much pressure all parties like GBP, HBO and haymon could have sent to him and his camp. they could have said that he would not be able to fight again or worst, threatened to be sued if he won't fight an obviously LMW broner on fight night all the while broner is just waiting for him and consuming his snacks.

This justifies the broner camps manipulation, and mockery of professionalism? These dudes are clowns, they intended it to go down like that.

Broner is going to make a lot of people a lot of money. The cash they dished out to Escobedo to get in the ring with him last night regardless of the weight difference, isn't going to matter very much in the long run. Money talks and I think thats why Escobedo was in tears. Frustration at knowing he sold out.

I feel bad for any fighter who is truly passionate about his craft and gives it his all only to find out that it's not even close to being enough. It's humbling and disheartening, especially with Broner making it look so easy. What essentially was a life and death fight for Escobedo was little more than an exhibition for Broner. And at the end you kinda get the feeling that Escobedo would kill to have Broner's talent but unfortunately it's just not meant to be.

do you think it was just a simple thing as escobedo selling and whoring himself? the card was already in set and we don't know how much pressure all the parties involved have been giving escobedo and his camp. before that, his camp was really adamant that they would not fight after broner made another mockery of a second weigh-in, the morning of the fight weighing 3.5 pounds over the 140 requirement set by escobedo's camp. meanwhile broner had been tweeting about how the fight is still on and wants something to be done when he missed a second weigh-in.

definitely, there was a power play involved and fighting on is not what escobedo and his camp really wants. but what can he do when all the pressure is on him?
