He's much more than just "powerful." He's a MEDIA force. Automatic promotion every time he gives a press conference.

Could be good for the sport, but we don't know that yet. Everyone assume GBP would be fairly legit, and look what happened there.

    $$$ corrupts everything.

Hopefully, if he does get into the sport, he acts like a fan more than a business man.

Being a promoter is too hard/real job for 50's passing interest.

Gamboa is throwing his career down the gutter.

    What a shame.

I hope it works out well for all involved but I'm surprised because I don't see how Fif has the time.

Dirrell needs a fight he hasn't fought in ages.... how about Pavlik or Bute? I'd definitely favour him against Pavlik

I thunk he would be the worst style match up for Pavlik out of the top 10 at 168 lbs. Pavlik struggles with lateral movement so I think Dirrell will win that fight.

Bute vs Dirrell is a good fight that could go either way.

Dirrell I think could gave Ward trouble but will likely lose In the end.

*Doomed to be notorious because this is ran by some ghetto guy who's got too many skeletons in his closet will be first a good thing in the short term, and a very bad thing in the long term....... i'm sure eventually the public consensus on the american side will label boxing as some ghetto sport in the long term of his influence....[/QUOTE]

Nope, you dont get much more ghetto then Don king. He was in prison, might have even been for murder, before making it big.

    In America, money talks

50 & Floyd have a good relationship with Golden boy they'll be able to make Gamboa/Broner

Hopefully they build Dirrel up again for an eventual fight with Ward

Big money right there. & good business from 50's point of view

People dont realise this. 50 cent owns thisis50 who do interviews, have a radio station and a website which gets millions of hits. All he has to do is put his guys on these platforms and thats new fans instantly. And then think of all the connections he has outside his own companies? If he gives it his full attention he can easily double Gamboas existing fanbase.
