I really don't see a FOTY in Ward v Dawson. Hell, it's more likely to turn out a stinker than not.

Demarco vs Molina could be one hell of a fun fight to watch, I'll watch the other two fight but they don't interest me as much as Demarco vs Molina.

 

I think that's gotta be the one the OP refers to as potential FOTY. Demarco and Molina are very evenly matched. And both like to hit and be hit. As odd as that is. Yeah, could be a Castillo Corrales type affair.

But for me, the most interesting fight with be Vitali vs Charr. Not in terms of a close fight, but just to see how Vito has healed up, and if he still has enogh in the tank to KO the young brute. It will definitly be a measuring stick to gauge if he SHOULD go forward in his long and storied career.

Ward vs Dawson woulda been better at 175. Dont know why Ward just didnt make the move up, it's inevitable since the SMW division has essentially been cleaned out since Bute is down. No need to make that one until he's back up. And if he comes back like he was. Yeah, Ward Dawson woulda been a much better fight up N. Now, it's just gonna be a 7-5, 8-4 Ward decision. I doubt Dawson has the power at 168 to change the outcome, just IMO.

 

Yeah I just presumed Demarco-Molina was the potential FOTY candidate, it should be a real fans favourite barn burner type of fight, that's why I'm really looking forward to it.

I agree about Ward should have went for Dawson at 175. Ward is already a big guy at 168 and there are no potential challenges out there in that division. Plus he must realise that if he beats Dawson at 168 everyone will write it off as a win against a drained Dawson (whether it is true or not). He would have got a hell of a lot of credit for jumping to 175 to beat the Ring champion at his own weightclass.
