Would he have the confidence in the twilight of his boxing career to come out aggressively? Like the way he did against the likes or Kirk Johnson, Adamek, Briggs, Hide etc. Or would Haye's speed and dangerous punch power force him to be a lot more cautious? I couldn't/wouldn't like to see him take the Wlad approach with keeping him at range with the jab for most of the night. Although it was a sound strategy and showed the gulf in class between the two, it didn't make for the best of fights. I just have the feeling if Vitali landed on Haye early, he would have him out of there. His punches are a totally different proposition than Wlad's.
Vitali's slow arm punches wont be able to get to Haye. Haye was elusive for Wlad who is way faster than Vitali. This current Vitali loses on points or late TKO. Haye would be catching him with the ol' counter all night. Vitali can't stop anyone with movement like Kevin Johnson,Chisora. And the guys he has stopped,he does it late. Arreola-round 10 Adamek-round 10 Sosnowski-round 10 Gomez-round 7 Briggs-UD couldnt stop him Vitali wont stop Haye.
Vitali would stop Haye. Haye doesn't have the chin for a fight with Vitali. Even Chisora Had Haye tired in that fight. Haye would not have the stamina either vs Vitali.
I dont think vitali gets to haye much, too slow, especially if wlad couldnt get to haye. the question I have is, would haye run all night and not look to inflict damage? if so, this fight has the potential to be shittier than haye-wlad.
I was kinda thinking this too. Haye has an ok chin which can take a few good punches sporadically (Wlad landed a few big rights, Chisora a couple of decent lefts) but with Vitali who constantly throws hard arm punches, upper cuts and hooks, could Haye last long if they began to land consistently?
Vitali was gotten old, slow and stiff,he would not be able to fight aggresivley and to be honest i see Haye catching him due to slowed reflexes and possibly stopping him
Vitali will just walk him down and pummel him into submission, he doesn't have Wlad's speed yet he has titanium jaw that can absorb Haye's punches while giving something in return. Haye's best chance is to try to run and pot shot his way to victory.
An overlooked factor here is Vitali's accuracy. He would land on Haye more than Wlad did, he would knock Haye out.
And unlike Wlad, he aint afraid to take 2 to land one. So even if he's getting hit, he's gonna land. If he lands consistent, Haye is KOd or RTDd. Chances for a Haye vicotry are oinly if Vitali retires due to an arm or elg injury sustained early during one of his assualts on Haye.:think
There is no chance of Vitali stopping Haye, it just wont happen. For Haye to win a decision he will need to win most rounds clearly cos they wont give him a decision otherwise if it's in Germany.
he has something Wlad doesn't have, and it's called an eagerness to throw punches he always throws more punches in a fight than his younger bro ( over a thousand against Johnson, which is incredible for a HW!) another factor is Vitali's jab. It's a weird, and impossible to copy punch, he throws it at odd angles and it's impossible to tell where the next one will come from, his jab is an incredibly underrated weapon which wins him fights problem is, Haye will be pot shooting and running, whatever he says, he WILL NOT exchange with Vitali, get it through your heads, he will not KO Vitali
