First time ive seen him box, i was impressed!! Looks like a welterwight David Haye. 17 KOS out of 18 fights is a very good record, i see him going to the top of his division within the next 2 years.

LOL at those saying Thurman sucks.

    Only on ESB. Sheesh.

All one can accurately say is that he's still untested against top opponents. He has some obvious skills, good power, and is definitely a fighter to watch. Time will tell.

Also, he has a very camera-friendly look, and knows how to talk the talk, things that make him marketable to HBO. Thus, he'll definitely be getting good opportunities, and soon.

Loved his fighting style and how he presented himself. Has that rare ability to talk himself up without sounding like a douchebag, very fun to watch and listen to. I'd be interested in him taking on the winner of Bailey-Alexander. Especially if it's Bailey.

Also, the Maidana fight would've been sick.

I was pretty impressed. He showed that he's a smart boxer to go along with his power. He's not ready for Mayweather though.

I liked that he understood the value of working the body, I liked that even when Lora tried to go all Mayorga on him, he kept his composure, I also thought he threw so awkward shots and used some interesting angles, he moved well and overall I thought he did a good job. I'm interested to see what he does going forward.

Can somewhat explain to me how he's black?

I know white people who have darker tans then him. Just a tone darker then mine. Yea maybe one of his grandparents or something were black but I don't know how they call him black.

I'm sure when he looses ( And he will, He's a pretty good fighter, not great ), He'll be yet another white boy exposed.

I watched Thurman spar Andre Berto 3 or 4 times and Berto punished this kid (I MEAN PUNISHED) everytime...he is good but not great.

I'm lost that he's calling out Paulie and Tim (nevermind Floyd) given his abilities.

Missed the fight. Did he look better than, say, Cayo against Maidana and Peterson?

I would not be surprised. His style will get punished by quick hands type fighters like Berto. Thurman tends to reach and paw. They are not lazy but it slow enough that fast hands can quickly 1-2 counter Thurman.

Yeah. It's really a put down being compared to only probably the third best HW in the world, and a big draw. That must suck.
