Wouldn't be shocked if James pulled it out tbh

I really, really don't rate this version of Pavlik, and even in his prime he was a bit overhyped

and Degale has an awful style for him, james either get's ko;d or wins wide decision, toss a coin

Thought Pavlik was fighting Froch some time in November?

DeGale on points. Hes too slick and he will perform on the big stage. He knows what Pavlik brings to the table. He will be the underdog in this aswell. I will go big on James if this comes off.

    Sake.

26-year old European Super Middleweight champion James DeGale issued a statement in Jan announcing that he had parted ways from Frank ******, who by return, issued his own statement saying the Olympian was staying put.

Since the turn of the year, all has been quiet between the two parties until an interview published online today, revealed the promoter's thoughts on the situation.

"Degale needs to pull his finger out. He’s had some good offers for fights." said ****** to WestLondSports.com

“We’ve got a dispute over our management agreement and hopefully that’s going to be resolved quite soon and then we’ll decide where we’re going to go from there.

“Kelly Pavlik, if James keeps himself well, is one of those fights I think you could look at although there’s travelling involved.”

When question about the relationship between himself, Degale and Groves, the promoter was quick to point out the need for a professional working relationship, despite the promotional triangle involving his 'nemesis' George Groves.

“Everybody has to be professional and move forward. It’s not about any favouritism.

“It shouldn’t affect things. Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank were both signed with me. So was Steve Collins. It’s not a problem.

“James is a good fighter. I just feel there are too many people around him who don’t understand boxing.”

I think they are looking at oousthousen

brings the IBO belt, an undefeated record and a top 5 Ring ranking with him, will bring a few fans over from SA too, is to be honest a better opponent than Pavlik at this stage who i also cant see bringing many good old boys from arkansas or wherever he's from

Pavlik struggles with movement and his power isnt to impressive at the moment his jab isnt the weapon it was and he looks slow (he does looks massive at the weight tho), he can be hit..I have my doubts about how far this comeback will go. De gale is good could be better and needs to be more active but he might just be too fresh for Pavlik whos taken a couple of beatings now. Id make Kelly a slight faviourte cause we havent seen the best of Degale yet

Fair play to Froch if he takes that fight. I'd have thought Pavlik was as close to a 'breather' as Froch would take prior to his rematch with Bute.

He looks really slow, i mean his movement is practically non existant, he's getting by at the moment on the fact that against the kind of circuit fighters he's facing, his power is still levels above them and his basic technique can handle them. World level is a whole different ball game, he will almost certainly fail when he steps up.

The people wanting to see Pavlik vs Froch need to think about that a little bit more, because I can see all of the desire leaving Pavliks body within 3 rounds, he mentally checked out against Martinez and I dont think he's ever checked back in to be honest

people might call me silly but I seriously think George Groves would put up a better fight than Pavlik at this stage, who looks ready for the glue factory

DeGales movement could make Pavlik look like ****
but Pavliks experience could make Degale make a few mistakes and get caught

I'd go with DeGale to beat him, A points win. Maybe a few scares of but i think James would love this fight and love Pavlik's style.

DeGale should be crawling over broken glass to get this fight made.

Pavlik is pretty much done. But he still has the power to put Degale to sleep. And because Degale is so much smoke and mirrors, i wouldn't be confident in picking him to win. He gets hit too much and i could see him taking a lot of right hands.
