Prove the fight was close to being a done deal.Source? He tried to chase a fight with Marquez(again fact if Billy Nelson is a good enough source for you) when he won the interim belt and JMM held the title. Not a great idea IMO but that's what happened. Like I also said,I know for a fact he was struggling at the weight. You and all these others you mention don't. As long as you acknowledge it's only your opinion because that's all it is.I know for a fact that he wa struggling at the weight for a long time, anything else is only an opinion based on fairly impeccable sources. And as for the guy saying "more duck talk" How is saying there's no excuses if he knocks back a fight at 135 duck talk? Looks to me clearly like there's no excuses now. I saw with my own eyes he was finding the weight hard long before he fought Martinez,so how it became easier as he got older I'd really like one of you to explain.
But, we'll soon see who is proved correct here. When Burns vacates his title after Broner becomes his mandatory. AGAIN! This time it'll be something else. I can see Mitchell taking the fight before Burns, so hopefully Mitchell will beat Burns, so the title won't be hid in Scotland in joke fights. Broner will FEAST on a Scottish bum, or a high-euro level Mitchell either way. Or they can just vacate the title, and let Broner fight for it. Either way, Broner WILL HAVE that WBO title.
Seriously? Just google "Burns Broner deal for November b-scene" Articles on b-scene about how they were WELL into negotiations all the way into september. If they were even negotiating in the first place for a fight, why would the weight have been an issue? You can't prove ****. You're lying, you don't train, you don't know RIcky Burns, you don't know ****. I'm going to just start being straight-up, and not try to be respectable anymore. You don't "know for a fact" ****. You don't know your ass form both hands when it comes to boxing. Unless you can PROVE you train at the same gym as Burns, and you know "this, and that" then don't bother saying it. This is the internt where anybody can be who they want. Burns is a Scottish bum who hides the title in Scotland fighting bums. The guy's defenses at 130 were a JOKE.
The other day you were crying into your milk because I was a bit too tough on you,now you're a big tough guy who like to bring ethnicity into things and sound like you're right up for it. I only defend Burns because I've met the guy and think he's acheived a lot with fairly limited talent and is a very humble down to earth guy.Nothing to do with ethnicity.Scotland is hardly a boxing hotbed and I'm not claiming it is. But don't forget you were a big cry baby the other day and now you're acting the tough guy.I actually suspect you're Queen Khan's alt,but hey ho. I know that my old coach was saying long before the Broner fight was mentioned that Burns was struggling at the weight when I brought it up.How is that not a fairly good marker to what's going on when he attends Billy Nelson's gym every week? You have nothing but opinion to base this on.I accept the only fact I have is that he was struggling at SF for a long time. From a sensitive little flower to a tough guy over a weekend and a couple hundred posts.
PROVE that the weight was really a problem for Burns. PROVE IT. Show me where he had talked about it before? Show me where he said anything about 130 being a problem. The only "problem" Burns had with fighting at 130 was "THE PROBLEM." And that is the truth. You Scots need to recognize that you just don't have very good boxers.
once again with this alt ****? I didn't even know wtf an "alt" was until you some paranoid idiots on here started talking it up. I'm this "Khan guy," "Vladimir" "***** alt" I've been accused of being so many alts? You don't know **** about it personally. Hey, I'll say just like you said to me. PROVE IT. PROVE the weight was a problem for Burns. Or is you proving it just you sitting here on the internet claiming to have heard this, and know that?
I know you were a cry baby the other day and now you're a tough guy. What the **** do you knwo about what I did and whether I trained? Way to go tough guy.Be straight up,but you're whole post is bull****.It'ds hardly a claim to fame to say you trained at a very busy gym and met a guy a couple times.he doesn't train at the same gym now and neither do I. But if you say so,none of it ever happened.Man you really found me out,and you discovered in a couplke days that you know the extent of my boxing knowledge. You never were respectable so don't try to make out you were.Just like you know **** all about me and what I know. You actually claimed there were no unreasonable Klitschko fans on ESB. I give plenty respect and get plenty back here.Don't claim to know when you know **** all.
I was respectable to you. The first response I ever gave to you was simply saying I did not agree with you. Never once did I say anything rude. I never said there was no dumbass Klit fans, I just said I don't think there's ANYMORE than there are for any other popular boxer. And you couldn't disprove it. Then you came back at me like I was some Klit ****** who didnt have a clue. In all honestly, you seem to be the same type of fan for Burns, trying to say he didn't duck Broner and all. **** it, I'll adapt your style, and just accuse you of not knowing **** about boxing everytime you disagree with me. It is fun to call out fools like you who talk out of their ass. I'm sure you have your friends on here who "respect" you, but I could care less. IMO, from what I've seen, you're a complete ass hat who knows **** all about boxing. And you also make stuff up to have more credibility.
You've been accused of being alts because you talk so much ****.Can't you see a pattern emerging. All right, you've got me.I don't have photographic or documented proof that he was struggling at the weight.I didn't think all those years ago that I would be having this discussion.Like I said,I only say I can talk about thois with authority because I saw it with my own eyes and more recently, heard it from someone who had his trainer's ear.I never claimed to be an insider or part of the team. If you trained at Garcia's gym,or the Wildcard, wouldn't you say you had access to what's going on in some form?A guy from Oxnard told me that he stoped training at the gym because Rios and his crew were right wankers who took liberties. It never occured to me to disbelieve him.And in my own case, particularly when we're talking about a fighter and a gym that are at a much lower level. It was common knowledge that Burns was very big at the weight and didn't always find it easy to make weight. Ive had this discussion several times and you're the only person who's accused me of not being at the gym or training.Do you want the name of the gym? It was Morrison's and it belonged to Alex Morrison, manager of Ricky Burns, who then moved to his trainer's gym, where the guy who owns the gym I've been training at for a while now, attends regularly. I''ll come back later because your toughness has tired me out,but send more abuse,I'll look forward to reading it later and laughing at how the cry baby became a tough guy.:scaredas:
Do whatever the **** you want.If the only way you can come back at me is to accuse me of lying or making up things then I'm cool with that.I tried to acknowledge that sometimes sweeping statements can cause somewhat hostile reactions and tried to be fair with you,but I take exception to you coming on basically accusing soemone of being a coward when I know it not to be true. And I'm well aware that Burns is far from a HOF'r and has many flaws. He's an overachiever in my eyes so I can hardly be bracketed with Klittards on this subject. Oh I forgot.I made it all up. I would have come up with something a lot better than that if I was in the habit of bullshitting. And you know zero when it comes to what I know about boxing.I've never questioned your boxing knowledge and don't know enough about you to do so.I talke exception to sweeping derogatory statements that I disagree with.If the only way you can debate that with me is by calling me a liar and saying I DKSAB then that's cool with me,but you know it's only because on this subject,I have the upper hand on you and you're resorting to the lowest form of retort.:happy
It's not a debate. A debate implies both parties are right, and it simply comes down to who is "righter" Here there's no argument, Burns ducked Broner. Is Burns a coward? Of course not, he's a professional boxer. Did he make a cowardly move by ducking Broner? Why hell yes. We'll soon see who is right here, when Burns once again avoids Broner should he get by Mitchell. If Burns fights Broner, then fair play to him, and I'll eat my words. If he avoids his number one contender (mandatory) YET AGAIN, then we'll see.
Listen,if you're prepared to take me at my word here,Ill do my best to keep it respectful.I've said in this thread and many others that if Burns knocks back a fight with Broner at 135,there's absolutely no excuses.I also think Broner will beat him and the best Ricky could mange would be to not get knocked out and give him something to think about. He's very limited at world level, but seems to pull better performances out of the bag. It's not like he's a hype job who's always been rated,he's a come-from-nowhere kinda guy and the only reason I have a softspot for him is because I met him a few times and won a right few quid when he beat Martinez at 5/1. The reason I debate the ducking issue is because I trust the word of someone who told me that Ricky wanted the fight but Billy Nelson felt that the weight issue was too big to risk it against a talent like Broner. They were chasing Marquez and that wasn't a good idea either, but Ricky is a bit too brave for his own good. Let's be honest,do you blame someone who's struggling at the weight for not going in with Broner unless it's up a division?I'm not sure the fight will happen but I firmly believe they moved up for the right reasons. He doesn't have big power so struggling to boil down for twelve tough rounds against the hottest prospect in the game is quite dangerous. And if Burns gets chased for this fight, without it being a derogatory offer(surely that's fair?) I'll happily comke on and take my medicine.I have no problem with admitting I got something wrong. It's just that so far, this is the only subject of note that I will have anything resembling an inside track(albeit a loose one) and I believe what people who are in on it have told me. I also worry that being favourite against Mitchell could work against Ricky.I'm under no illusions about his abilities. You can call me out in a special thread where I'll take my lumps if he genuinely ducks this time. You up for that?
Burns has fought better fighters than Broner has so far in Martinez, Katsidis, Pualus Moses ( former WBA Champ) and is now fighting Mitchell who is rated in the top 10 by ring magazine.
