Khan is finished at the top level, though still young I fear he will not learn and will resort to his usual tactics...expect him to face brook and get KO'd....the blueprint to beat Khan is there for every fighter ranging from 140 - 147lb!

So the general opinion in this thread is that Khan probably couldn't beat Prescott, if that is the case he has pretty much reached the pinnacle of his carrier.

He may win a world title again but it will be through handpicked fighters and he will be carried and closely matched which he has been for part of his carrier already.

I for one think he could beat Prescott if he stuck to a game plan for 12 rounds and out boxed him, i do think he needs to seriously work on his flaws and maybe have one or two fights before taking Prescott to try and implement a new style, it’s a long road back for khan i hope he can do it, I have never really liked khan but he would win me over if he beat Prescott because it would take alot of guts and also involve a lot of risk.

oh my lord mate you are unreal, its funny how you mention the 10th round as he was dancing on ice that round because of his dodgy chin, a dodgy chin does not mean the end of the world, he needs to tighten up that defence and become a boxer not a fighter, he is not a power puncher so why fight like one, he needs someone to sit him down and say ok these are your strenghts and these are your weaknesses

i reckon khan listens to saj more than freddie these days and that saj **** is telling him he is a ppv star that will fight pbf, you gotta stop this dude, khan cannot fight aggressive against the top dogs, go back to his running style and bring in a better defensive coach his ppv stock will go down but he will be remembered for winning fights and being a good fighter if he keeps going on the way he is he will keep losing and getting stopped his career could finish up pretty quick, no shame in having a below average chin, lennox lewis had one but still conquered the world

  5. I don't think he can beat Prescott using his current style and I don't think he can change his spots now, not after 4 years of roach trying to make him Manny mark 2

And yes I think he has peaked, he can still win a title etc, but before the peterson fight there were a fair few tipping him to beat mayweather, and before Garcia a fair few saying he is better than pac at this stage

That level of hype is never coming back

for once? you should take a lot of my posts with a pinch of salt i just like winding you guys up

if he changes trainer which i reckon he should its basically going to be like starting from scratch, that style that roach has taught is embedded in his muscle memory and brain now so it will take a few years to adopt a completely different approach, its not the best decision financially as he will need to take a step down in competition for a few fights but it needs doing he is still young, that roach style is flawed in many ways especially if your chin is suspect

some tough decisions are to be made and i hope saj is not involved in them

I think the first few fight under Roach were ok Khan was covering up well and boxing rather than fighting, I agree it will take time to change now, it's not a tactical problem too much, it's more of a metal issue, Khan knows how to box behind the jab and being safe, but the problem is he opts not too.

Tea boy Saj is one of the biggest (can't say the word I am fasting) around, he one I am sure gases Khan up the wrong way.

but it is a tactical problem in a way, its more than just boxing behind the jab and covering up on the ropes, that method has its flaws ala peterson, he needs to become more of a boxer, more slick in a way, counter more make his opponent miss more but not by his usual going on the backfoot, he needs to use upper body movement to slip and slide then counter, to learn this will take time but he has the offensive capabilities there to make it work, that will take time though maybe with bro nazim that partnership could work him being muslim you'd think its a match made in heaven, anyway sack that roach fella he is done, number 1 on the to do list

True these things should be worked on with his new trainer, this is the type of improvement Khan needs right now.

If Khan stopped him would be a statement too, something Garcia could not do.
