sad but true. broner and floyd can do all these things since they know that these promoters would just not let these big fights be cancelled and would force their opponents, who actually made weight, to fight on even if they knew that they would be at a severe weight disadvantage.

The fact they don't have to cut that extra 2 or 3lbs means they'll be in a much better physical condition on fight night. The tougher it is to cut weight, the more it'll affect a fighter when he's in the ring, so anything which lessens that negative effect is beneficial.

yes. but it can also cover other fighters who ignores the weight without actually trying to make it after the weigh-in. there were reports that broner actually tried in the morning before the weigh-in so in that part, he might be more willing to make the weight.

It was a disgrace when Manny Pacquiao was Overweight twice as a Flyweight.

the Proper way to cut weight is gradually over camp so it would not have a huge affect on fight night. no one should lose several pounds the week before the fight.

This is so funny, not because of what happened, but rather people act like he got away scott free. He ****ed up and he paid the price, there are penalties in place for this type of ****. If you think there is a problem with the penatly involved write the boxing commission.

in other words, don't hate the player hate the game:bart

Not even water weight? That's the conventional tactic to make a fighter as light as possible on the scales but as heavy as possible in the ring. That's not something you can do gradually, it has to be a day before the weigh in.

You're right it was but at least he was desperately trying to make weight by not eating instead of dining on twinkies and twix ice cream bars like Broner who clearly didn't give a **** about losing the last bit of weight.

Fighters fail to make weight, it happens. However, there is a difference between trying to make weight and failing and not giving a ****. Broner didn't give a ****.

The wrong question is being asked. The more relevant question is whether or not it's a big deal. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. It really depends on the situation.

Why??? so the damage a boxer takes is multiplied due to dehydration and not having time to hydrate. Rehydration clauses are the way forward.
