Two fighters that shamelessly tries to copy Floyd jr. There are many more that just learns from Floyd's style such as Ward, Dirrell, even a young cotto when they were both in Top Rank. Who is the closest? 1. Paulie Mag - The philly shell in and out style that Floyd employs in 140 and down when he was PBF. 2. Adrien Broner - The out of prime and aged Money who relies on philly shell, upper body movement and sharp counters. A more toe to toe, walk them down approach. 3. I see Ward's in fighting and smothering style similar to Floyd although he is not as visible as trying to steal Floyd's style even though he admitted studying Floyd Jr. Tactics. 4) I see nothing from Dirrells that resembles of FLoyd jr. One that is super talented himself, he fights more like Roy jones in his offense imo than Floyd but he trains out of Floyd's camp and possibly learned a lot from jr. 5) Cotto's Cross arm defense/conventional defense. Just sprung out of no where in his late 140lbs run and 147. Floyd accuses Cotto in seeing his movements and defense from him that he stole during their share of TR gym. Any other known fighters that learned from Floyd and who is the closest?
Abrilweather. Broner is an annoying copycat in terms of both style and persona. I think Ward is the best of the fighters who have been influenced by Mayweather. He doesn't just try to copy Mayweather's style, either -- you can see how he's been studying Mayweather, but you can also see that he has a style of his own. (There's a bit of Hopkins in his work, too.)
this kid immanuel aleem who just made his pro debut recently. looks like another broner-floyd copycat
Floyd didnt invent that style but who elses used the style?? George Benton James Toney Berto uses it Broner Guzman
