amir kahn and bernard dunne cocky little **** got whipped by kiko martinez in 37 sec or something lol
Naseem Hamed,he was all over the TV here all of the time with his annoying crap about how great he was and how he was going to be one of the best ever. I was so glad when Barrera beat him, especially when he put him in the corner.
Can't lie at the time Trinidad's when he lost to Hopkins ! Then Naseem Hamed .. As far as Bute I was happy due to his fans but not for him since he is a class act !
Mike Tyson without a doubt. Watching him get his ass brutally kicked by a journeyman in 1990 was fantastic.
I don't think he was a hype job though he won the WBO, WBC, IBF titles at the weight and fought and beat the WBA champion, but for whatever reason that Belt wasn't on the line. Yes he was rated too highly but Barrera is a Hall Of Famer anyway.
Amir khan without a shadow. The Butards being shut down was also very satisfying. I can't wait for the day Ward gets his arse handed to him either
Nice, you watch the fight on TV at the time? I was too young to remember, but I bet it was pure classic. Had there been ESB, or boxing forum at the time I bet there would have been a massive amount of Tysontards making up excuses and crying their eyes out. The Tyson contingent is so annoying, and I bet it was ten times worse back then. They think the guy was so great. He was exposed by a journeyman.
Hamed wasn't really a hype job,but it was delicious the way it all came crashing down. Bute is the most satisfying of recent times. Some of the nonsense before the Froch fight had to be seen to be believed.Only Johnny Tapia's sad death took away the most joy I've felt in the aftermath of a fight in a long time. Tyson was another who wasn't a hype job,but even though I was a fan,I was desperate to see him tested and most of us believed Spinks would be the one to give him a hard night We never got the fight until the following morning but I can assure you,no one saw that coming.Who knew it would never be the same again? Pavlik and Bute were genuine hype jobs.Tyson(especially) and Hamed were proven, although Barrera was the only genuine ATG that Hamed came up against, but he was definitely proven and had fought top level guys like Vasquez,McCullough and Soto.
Fernando Vargas vs Felix Trinidad. I must of rewatched that fight at least 5 times afterwards back then. So satisfiying!
I used to hate Vargas but now I feel bad about it.He was a very exciting fighter who ducked no one and should have had a longer career. When you see the way some guys are protected now you wonder why Vargas was matched so hard so young.
