He's not trying to play the villain, he's just a giant douche. With Floyd, you can tell he puts on the heel persona depending on his opponent, which usually is a response to how he is being treated. Fighters that show him respect, he returns the respect like a true professional. If a fighter wants to show disrespect to get Floyd out of his game, he will return the disrespect and beat you at it. I guess for me, being a big fan of Mayweather, the idea that Broner is trying to be like Floyd is disgusting. The sad thing is, what Broner puts forth is what he thinks of Mayweather, and that couldn't be further from the image that Floyd actually puts out. Broner is trying to ride the coat tails of Mayweather when he should just be trying to build up his own image and personality.
