great post. I don't care what people say, this fight was closer than people say, Haye put up a great showing. He was there to win, and by any tactics possible. Fair enough he never 'went for it', but why would he? to end up like calvin brock and the like?
Pretty sure danny williams said that tyson punched harder and they were like flashes, whereas vitalis punches HURT
Wlad has a stronger chin than Haye. Punches twice as hard. Has a better voerall arsenal. Far better defense and has greater handspeed. Haye did what he was forced to do to avoid the dreaded KTFO. Great plan by Hyae to maintain relevance in losing only by decision.:good
Haha yeah doesn't make much sense. You might as well say "if I punched you harder than I did, I would have knocked you out"
Outstanding stuff. This is the type of stuff this forum needs more of. I'm no Boxing expert so things like this help me learn a bit more.
:rofl Vidic, very deep thoughful analysis right there :good Wlad and David looked absolute peak in this fight. Reflexes, speed, athleticism and power almost identical. Wladimir is just such a seasoned veteran that it's often overlooked. The experience and patience of Wladimir Klitschko beat David Haye.
Good stuff. One thing that impressed me about Wlad on a subsequent viewing was how well he kept Haye pinned to the ropes. There's a section of the fight, I think in the second round, where you can clearly see Haye is trying to re-take the centre of the ring, but every time he moves to his left or right, Wlad moves with him. He did this throughout the fight, and never let Haye get comfortable.
