Ward would win,to cagey and to much all around talent,Joe would win some early rounds but Ward would adjust, cut his workrate and land flush counters

It's very hard to win rounds against Calzaghe because of the number of punches he throws, he is also harder to hit that it seems. Ward is the better boxer and wouldn't exchange too much, his ring intelligence will be the key in this fight. Ward dominates early and Joe edges out the final rounds.

Joe had an excellent ring iq. Wins a UD imo.

You talk about ward "ad******g" after Joe takes the early rounds, problem is Joe adjusts with him and has the better gas tank, best scenario for ward Is he nabs a couple of the middle rounds because Joe will bookend this fight

Neither guy can hit, both are fast, both can adjust, both are smart, both go to the body, both are tough to hit. Calzaghe has that edge on workrate and durability though, as well as a slight edge on speed. Whatever Dawson does in the Ward fight, add a ton more stamina and workrate as well as an indestructable chin. Subtract the power. Add serious ring smarts.

I favor Calzaghe by 3 or 4 rounds. If Dawson beats Ward, I have Calzaghe beating him even worse. If Dawson loses a close one, I have Calzaghe winning pretty comfortably. If Ward absolutely blows Dawson away, I give him a chance to beat Calzaghe.

    Prime Calzaghe, ud.

To beat him in his prime you better knock him out, b/c he was coming foward constantly and throwing 80 punches a round.

    - Calzaghe - don't know why other than intuition/first reaction.....

    - This is the fight I would love to have seen - that will never happen because of slightly different times in boxing....
