When / Why did Buncey stop posting here?

They were very knowledgeable but they also bullied newcomers and mocked any opinion they didn't agree with mercilessly, they had their good and bad points, now they have their own forum and anyone looking for that kind of atmosphere can go there

PK is right, this site's doing just fine

 

Think Bunce started taking far more abuse after the Boxnation move which he couldn't very well reply to, and most of which was idiotic even though he sometimes invites some on himself. Once a name starts posting it won't take long for them to attract the shite. Exactly what happened to Montoya when he posted here a few weeks back.

 

I understand what you mean, i did notice it. Even though i've been around for years i could detect there was a little bit of a problem between the established regulars and other posters.

Ero Sennin made a great point in a deleted thread, people have got the two forums. Choose one and enjoy it or post on both and stay classy. For me i'm a massive fan of the sport. I wish i knew it all but i don't, sometimes i do feel people take themselves far to serious on here but each to there own.

The forum has picked up over the last month IMO, but still got a long way to go. The trolls still lurk and don't do it with the class of the old guard .

 

It's a forum end of the day, many different people, from many different places and with many different opinions, some people get on and some don't, its bound to happen.
We all do have something in common though, we all love boxing and this is what this place should be about, sadly its not and thats because idiots like iron chin don't know their arsehole from their elbow and therefore spout complete bollocks just to get attention.

It is stupidly cliquey. Forums get like that. Seems to be if you're new, you have to put up with it and ride it out.

Yeah maybe people feel more confident to post, silly really but i suppose some felt shy of posting who knows. I like pretty much everyone on both forums. Bill's post above is spot on. We all love the sport, we all have different views. I don't like some of the posts that are purely aimed at upsetting trainers and fighters and pundits but at the end of the day you quickly gather who's trolling and who's serious.

I post on both forums (enjoy both immensely) and long may that continue :good.

 

Buncey got all mad because of the stuff he says then when he u turns people called him on it.

Also for a man to insult boxers as fat and useless he runs for the hills when someone dare question his ability which sux BTW

 

The biggest problem the British forum has is egos. The reason people like Bunce, Paul Smith, Joe Gallagher etc., stopped posting is because of all the ****ing idiots who want to make a bit of a name for themselves by being different to everyone else and having a go. You see the same sort of people attacking Bellew and Nelson over and over now, and it's a shame because eventually, they'll get sick of it too and then the forum will suffer again. People might say this is arse licking but **** it, those posters offer a brilliant insight for us fans and it's a pleasure to read their opinions. It's to the detriment of this forum that members with great knowledge have been pushed away because of a handful of knobs.

It's a similar thing with the comments about "elitism" too. There has been a strong cliquey feel on here and even though I'd never be put off from posting my opinion, I do think there was a sense of hostility towards people outside of that clique. It's just arrogance and ego, basically, but it didn't help the forum. I can't even remember who those posters were but if they have decided to leave, maybe it'll be for the betterment of the forum as a whole.

Some people take the internet too seriously. Whether it's trying to gain an 'image' by attacking famous people within boxing or even being arrogant and elitist, there's no need for it. I just take ESB for what it is, a good source of boxing knowledge and a bit of fun. It shouldn't be more than that in my opinion, but there's obviously quite a few people who take it seriously.

It does make me smile that certain posters who clearly " do not " know the sport as well as they claim too , literally bash other posters , label them , call them , do what ever it is that there limited brains need to feed there heads full of **** ..........................

Always always need an alliance , they always need to name drop other posters names to justify what there saying

I can honestly say I've never placed anyone on my banned list (didn't even know it existed until i seen people talking about it) , never even looked at anyones profile on there page (again i only know u can do that because it lists the last 5 people to have visited my own profile when i go on there) , never had to form an alliance to debate or get across my own views , i very rarely even remember user names , i know Flea Man because when he does post serious stuff he's a good read , and i know Popkins and Scurlaruntings because there a pair of ****s , other than that i just remember avatars and who normally has a good debate or posts something worth reading

And i have some ****in keyboard warrior punk ass ***** called dftaylor telling me I'm in bread and don't know anything about a sport i love and practice !!!!!! , unreal !!!!!
