Calzaghe beats Ward six out of seven days of the week.

Ward fairly easily. Calzaghe would have nothing to keep him off, Ward would be in his chest all day just wearing him out. Very similar to how he beat Kessler.

I'll say this ,if Ward soundly beats Dawson ,I think it be a no brainer .The type of South paw he's fighting is much more dangerous than Joe could have ever been..The diffrence is Joe was more consistant ..

Anyone choosing Ward is a hater. JC was undefeated. Ward's career, albeit reasonably good so far, is not great. Compare these two at the end of Ward's career, but right now, Calzaghe in a UD.

  7. **** off, Dawson lost to Jean Pascal

I don't think there would be a clear winner. People would give it to Ward for landing the more precise shots. People would give it to Calzaghe for throwing 90 punches a round (regardless of whether or not they land).

The "official" winner of the fight would just be whoever the pundits are sucking off harder at the time.

Since I don't count arm punches that land on gloves and elbows... I'm picking Ward.

Ward is undefeated too, against consistently tougher opposition and major title holding, but over a shorter period of time. Fortunately a bout between Ward and Joe is measured over 12 rounds, not 10 years, so it has to go with the man who can acheive more over 12 rounds.

Haters gotta hate? Glasshouses and stones.

Personally I'd say its currently too close to call, but in time Ward may prove hes of a consistently higher level over not jjst a few fights but over several years than Joe, and then it will be Ward UD for 2 out of 3.

Wards biggest punt in this matchup is his calling out and facing the man Joe ran from in order to keep his zero losses, a certain Chad Dawson. Facing someone is always greater than running from someone in order to keep zero losses -the term 'undefeated' becomes diluted if you run from fights.

  12. Lol Dawson lost 10 of the 11 rounds then made excuses, he's a chump :rofl

And as for "Joe ran from Dawson" what a load of American tripe, Dawson was fighting in front of 70 fans in strip clubs when Joe was banging 70,000 into the millennium, and Dawson wouldn't open his bedside cabinet, find his heart that he kept in there next to his fans kool ade, stick it in his chest and get on a plane.

    End of discussion

Oh, and Dawson lost to Jean Pascal

    Lol

How the hell is Calzaghe killing this so badly? I'm not a hater and thought he was very good, but come on, Ward has looked ATG good so far in his career. I really think this kid will go down as a p4p ATG. Joe was very good, but he ain't a p4p ATG.

Strip clubs, lol. Funny place for the WBC lightheavyweight champion to fight, whilst he was calling Joe out in the press. Surely you must appreciate the factual content that Joe was called out and ran from the wbc champ, than references to strip clubs, bedside cabinents and kool ade?

Not that I blame him, it would take proper guts to fight a prime pounder like Chad especially if you are over 35.

  15. Look man, Dawson got skills, but the guy has got one of them brains that goes missing, he doesn't like it being put on him, this fella doesn't like it

The fact that pavlik was being heavily touted to fight Joe in Jeff lacy part 2 tells you the division had nothing left to offer

Dawson had his chance, undefeated, to clean up 175 post Joe but he couldn't get it done. The zombie impression against Pascal minus one round was pathetic, he was not a money fight for Joe who had beaten anyone who was worth fighting at that stage and was ready to go off and snort crack..

    Calzaghe a g
