Floyd has been ko'ing world champs, and defending world championships since he was 21-22 years old.

Broner has not had quite the opportunity to reach that level yet. Thing is, both are/were much, much better than the current competition.

Now when Broner ko's Ricky Burns, then Demarco, then Vasquez, he will have cemented his own legacy.

Broner has never claimed to be better than Floyd. He obviously idolizes him. He will be damn proud to be considered just behind Floyd.

No but the gap isn't as wide as some would make out...and I think it's pretty obvious I'm a PBF fan. I'm not a huge Broner fan, but it's pretty easy to see the kids potential, and I have no doubt he will be a great fighter as he develops.

No way, Floyd was the better technician. Better defense as well. If anything Broner is stronger than Floyd was at that age.

A lot of people seem to be saying this, but I don't see this supposed power. He isn't fighting at the level Floyd was fighting at, at the same age. Floyd was fighting legit comp and actually stopping them. Broner got a stoppage this weekend, but it was more out of frustration and disgust. Escobedo was never in danger of being put to sleep by Broner. He just couldn't do anything to change the outcome of the fight.

    No. Floyd is/was technically superior.

Broners defence is a very very poor imitation of Floyds

Broner gets hit way more that May did at that age. Also contrary too many posts on here, May's power was just as good.

Broner looks more compact and it looks to take less shots to get his opponents down, where as Floyd would use more well placed shots to break down fighters.

You make a good point in comparing their comp, and I agree Floyd has faced better opposition. Well see what Broner can do with some of the top guys at 135.
