    Hey guys,

i know a lot of fans here give Wlad a hard time because of his resume. so i ask you for an honest and serious (or as serious as you can make it) opinion as to who Wald has to beat in order for him to gain respect from you directly. There are many klitschko fans on this site and some haters.

Name 1-2 fighters that will make Wlad's resume more impressive for you specifically (excluding Vitaly)?

For me the following fighters for immidiate matches. (any one of those guys would look good)

    Kubrat Pulev
    Chris Arreola
Povetkin (though i dont think he'll ever fight wlad at least not now)

if we wait 1-2 years then:

    Mitchell
    Price
    Fury
Haye (potential rematch depending on what Haye does in his next 1-2 fights)

might be a few other fighers lingering out there but can't really think of any.

He does not need to beat anyone at this point.

He's the main man right now, I'd like to see fights such as Mitchell, David Price and more.. it'll probably happen down the line.

    Exactly :deal ..
Wladimir shouldn't be "making" the fights at this point, the contenders should line up and call him out.

There's nobody in the division at this time who is anymore of a threat than what he has already beat. He won't fight his brother (understandably) and has already beat Haye who many believe to be the 3rd best HW.
All he can do is keep beating his mando's.

I do think however that if he went into fights against these overmatched opponents he is being served up as mandatories with a more aggressive style and look to be a more exciting watch would be good for him

He doesn't need to prove anything, but I'd like to see him take out a few of the up and coming heavyweights before he retires.

The rest of the ones from his generation, he's either beaten or they won't fight him. **** dealing with contenders who are making the cowardly decision to wait rather than accept a title shot like Povetkin and Arreola. May as well see if some of the young guns are up to the task starting next year. In the meantime, one of the current contenders could get some respect by actually taking the fall fight with Wlad and giving it 100%.

even though he doesn't need to beat anyone to prove that is currently the best heavyweight out there, i think there are still some guys out there that would add to his resume... that is essentially why i started the thread to see who those guys are in most of your opinions.

Yeah, that's the sad reality.. Boxers should be happy to get a shot at the champ, i mean that is what they have been training for their entire life :patsch

My choices are undefeated versions of top rated Povetkin, Boystov, and Pulev...it will add immensly to his resume.

Povetkin and if Pulev wins two more fights in a impressive way.....then Wlad vs Pulev would be great !!

I guess a Haye rematch wouldn't be a bad fight to see. The division is in shambles, and has been for some time now. I just hope young star emerges and gets in the ring and really challenges Wlad in there. I wanna see Wlad weather a storm without having a panic attack or bouncing off the canvas numerous times.

oh, right, because if Wlad beats a 10-toe Haye, he'll secure his place in the HW ATG top 10
