Im not sure there is any hope for Khan.

I know he's only 25, but I'm not sure he has the intelligence to actually learn & implement any potential defensive enhancements.

Whilst its commendable he has fronted up to the press in defeat. He is still banging on about how he is one of the best offensive fighters in the world.

This is nonsense. Wading forward with your chin in the air throwing combinations is not a world class offence.

Khan probably thinks all he needs to do is pull either hand back to his chin once he's thrown a shot. (it's a start yes) but Khan litterely needs rebuilding from scratch.

Effectively he needs a new trainer, & at least 3 'fringe' opponents before he even thinks about stepping back into world class. Unfortunatley he's with Golden Boy, and they'll match him tough.

Guaranteed Khan gets sparked again the next time hes in with an intelligent fighter. Garcia wasn't a banger, but he was intelligent.

You have just stated that Amir Khan will get sparked out, the next time he is inside the ring with a intelligent fighter. Was Zab Judah not a intelligent fighter, Was Lamont Peterson not a intelligent fighter..? These guys where intelligent fighters and they did not spark him out.

The fact of the matter is, Garcia looked completely clueless for the first 2 rounds up until he landed that shot. A shot in which Garcia was not even looking at the target and had his eye's closed.

I disagree with the notion that Amir Khan needs to be rebuilt from scratch. He's got better co-ordination/motor skills than allot of fighters, he's got great stamina and speed.

But the kid has just got a shakey chin, and he does not seem to give a ****.

If Garcia and Khan ever fight again. Garcia only has a punchers chance, because he is not a better fighter than Amir Khan. All Garcia proved was that he can punch.......

I honestly believe that Amir Khan would of went on to TKO Garcia if he didn't go ape**** and attempt to have a shoot out with Garcia while he was still damaged.

I think he beats Garcia badly in the rematch.

Khan may well get sparked out in the future! any fighter can be sparked out. But its not a certainty set in stone! Like you are trying to make out.

 

Oh dear, you should have stopped at 'delusion'. Try not to patronise me, just because you called the fight like millions of others does not make you some enlightened, initiated minority, uniquely qualified to hold an opinion.

If you are going to predict a knockout for Garcia then it stands to reason you would choose the left hook. Most knockouts come via the left hook. It's hardly going out on a limb. It doesn't show some esoteric knowlege of the game gleaned from your boxercise classes.

Yes Garcia was going to try countering, everyone knew that, but he was missing, he was getting beat up and he was getting worse. Khan got momentarily sloppy, trying an uppercut from mid range and got clocked in the neck by some wild, blind hook. The rest didn't count as Khan had lost his legs by then.

 

Peterson is a pressure fighter who was juiced. I wouldn't say he's a thinking mans fighter.

Zab Judah is shot, if that's the benchmark Khan might as well go home now. I actually agree with you, Khan could 'box' his was to a UD against Garcia... He could even break him down and stop him.

For Khan to do that, the one thing he needs more than anything else is a ****ing brain. Khan hasn't got the disicipline to box that way for 12 rounds... (& don't bother throwing Kotelnik at me)
