    I came up with this list so far:

    Jock McAvoy The Rochdale Thunderbolt.

    A seething mass of bad intentions who had a hair trigger temper, a punch that was dynamite, and a willingness to fight at anytime, any place and anywhere

    After retiring from boxing McAvoy contracted polio, it is reported that when McAvoy entered a public house using sticks to aid his walking, a local 'tough guy' badmouthed Jock calling him amongst other things a cripple, in a instant the sticks were dropped and so was the tough guy, introduced to Jocks right fist and a little sleep in quick succession.

    McAvoy was not the nicest of guys but by god i would want him on my side if a brawl occurred.

    Tyson couldn't even "murder" Mitch Green in a street fight let alone 2 Ton Tony and John L. Sullivan.

    Elbows Mcfadden, Fritzie Zivic, Kid Norfolk, Carlos Monzon, a pissed off Max Baer. Than you call Liston and his boys and tell the rest to go home before things get ugly.

    Guys I'd bring just for the mean looks: Baby Arizmendi, Elmer Ray, Jimmy Leto, Mike Tyson (if he keeps his mout shut), Jim Jeffries & Valuev (these two are ugly enough to be considered for psychological torture purposes).

    From what I've read, Tyson was a tough guy when he had his gang with him on the street.

    You heard the story of him knocking out the old woman in the elevator? Doesn't strike me as a tough guy after hearing that story.

    I doubt it.
    If Mike Tyson comes to Tony G's bar looking for trouble, he's probably going to get more than he can handle.

    Mike Tyson was the superior athlete, but as been mentioned he was really just a bully on the streets, preying on women and old men.

    He did fight Mitch Green on the street, but he threw one punch, broke his hand and then ran away. That's really not very impressive.

    It's Charley Mitchell.
    I'm surprised you haven't heard of him. He fought John L Sullivan and he challenged James J Corbett for the world's championship in 1894.
