If Benitez and DeJesus, two classic boxers, could beat Duran, why couldn't Mayweather?

I'm not saying Floyd would win 100% but certainly Floyd could cause Duran more problems than he could Leonard IMO

Mayweather vs Duran is closer than people would think.

Leonard is all wrong for Mayweather, I've always argued he'd compete better with Robinson, than he would with SRL.

I think Duran beats him at 135 in a close fight. Leonard likely beats him at 147 as well but neither of these fights are blowouts.

No disrespect, but look at Leonard's resume and see when he fought who he fought. The guy was smart. He knew when to fight these guys and has gone on record admitting it. The only fight I really give him props on was the Hearns fight#1. He fought a lightweight Duran and was soundly beaten. He did play his way to a victory in the rematch though.

Floyd has a lot of things I think that would bother Duran and I think he beats Duran at 154. But at any other weight, he loses. Duran is the perfect swarming type fighter to beat Floyd. I've broken this down before actually.

He can feint him back to the ropes and jab him back and counter. And on the ropes, Duran can work Floyd intelligently and not waste energy like ndou our Ortiz

Natural size and power for one. Those guys where at their best at WW. FLoyd obviously is not. If somehow the Floyd who boxed beautifully at 130 could keep all the same tangibles he had at 147, that's another story.

Duran was smaller and more inconsistent than Leonard, so probably him.

Having said that, I think both Duran and Leonard beat Mayweather 5 times out of 5.

Duran's technical abilities and ring smarts are highly underrated here. People seem to think he was a brawler for some reason. And it's not a knock to Floyd to say he'd lose. He just isn't the same fighter he was at 130. I don't see how Floyd at 154 fares better, since he's barely fought there, and both times was less then the stellar Mayweather we've seen when at his best.

People are seriously underestimating Duran's style, he would get to Floyd easier than Leonard would imo.

yeah Duran was great in the middle of the ring also and could make Floyd miss and counter him which is something I've always said is an important thing to do when fighting Floyd.
The reason why I think Floyd wins at 154 is because Floyd wasn't great at the weight, but neither was Duran who lost 3 times there. Plus I think Floyd could outlast Duran as the fight goes on due to their conditioning. I also don't think Duran would be as physically imposing at the weight.

Duran is not catching a Floyd committed off the back foot.

Duh. The point is a guy that is naturally smaller than he is. No Floyd is not still a super featherweight. He's super at any weight and would embarrass Duran.:yep
