I'm sure it has been done before...but just wondering who were some of the drinkers in boxing during their careers? Dundee said Pastrano liked his booze and would put liquor in his milk when Dundee was trying to bulk him up to heavyweight. Nino Benvenuti womanized and drank often if I remember correctly. Pavlik, de la Hoya later on his career, Hatton, Monzon (?), Ketchel, Janiro, Greb, etc. I like following the old-time Italian-American boxers and a few of them were playboys that fooled around and womanized but were very skillful boxers as well. Who are some others?

I've herd the story of how Carlos Teo Cruz was asked the day of his fight with Mando Ramos for the WBA/WBC light championship. He told the reporter that Ramos was out drinking the night before. When the reporter asked how he knew this Teo Cruz told the reporter that he was out drinking with him.
I don't know how true the story is, but I still find humor in it.

It seems is usually accepted by people who researched Greb that his reputation as a party animal was based on false rumors. Greb was known to use these rumors to get an edge on fights and to sweeten the bets against him.

As for my vote, two words: Young Griffo.
