Leonard is one fighter I think could beat FMJ. He has the speed, skill, power, and gameness to do so. Leonard for all of his Pure Boxing could switch to being a Boxer Puncher and was a brutal finisher. Their size/primes don't line up well at all. FMJ is just too small.

Duran could be beaten. Tough fight though.

But how do you think it would've went in say,Ray's next fight after Benitez?
I sort of see where you're coming from, but that was Ray's 1st ranked opponent.
You have to bear in mind that fantasy match-ups usually mean prime for prime.Ray was only developing at the time.He only really started coming into his own when he fought Gant.

Duran, but he's not beating either from 135-154 imo. No shame in that, but those two were just a level above - which says something considering how quality Floyd is.

True, then I guess it boils down to which version he fought.

if Leonards defense could frustrate Duran enough to quit then Floyds superior d would at least frustrate the hell out of Duran and dudes like DeJesus and Benitez outboxed Duran then why couldn't a better boxer like Mayweather do the same? Duran would lose to Mayweather for certain, he gets frustrated against top level defensive minded fighters with top notch defense. Mayweather fits that bill bettert han anyone, he's a stylistic nightmare for Duran who is undoubtebly and desrvingly ranked at least 20 spots higher on the ATG list (Durans a legit top ever imo). Styles make fights though.

Leonard would beat Floyd but if you think he wins easy or blows him out you're a moron. Floyds daddy was competetive with him using a way lesser polished and skilled version of the same style and Leonard gave up rounds vs much lesser fighters than FMJ. Leonard would win a close but clear decision where both guys show their best attributes, no one beats Mayweather in dominant fashion in the history of the sport, you just cannot dominate someone who's that great defensively. You can outwork him and win but you'll never look great doing it.

Agreed, Except the only thing Leonard does better is a better punch due to him being bigger, and a better show man. Floyd got better speed of foot and punches, better feints, better Boxing IQ too. better iniside and outside fighter. If SRL and FLoyd Jr is exactly same size Floyd will UD Leonard.

Against Duran but Duran still wins this. Against SRL, Floyd gets dominated.

I mean is pretty obvious. SRL got flashy shuffles, and throws his hands in the air and shoe shine with a bolo uppercut. Mostly for show. Who can honestly say that he have more boxing ability than Floyd Jr? How often do you see SRL rolling and slipping and ducking past 6-7 shots and return accurate counters or unpredictable lead rights that FLoyd throws and the leaping fast hooks? Floyd can get to point A to Point B basically at will, and amazing ring generalship where you know he is in complete control so if they are both same size how is leonard going to match FLoyd without a size advantage?

He'd certainly be an underdog against both. But I think the bigger SRL would beat him easier than Duran would, but if the fight ever gets to the point that Duran is walking him down and slowing him down with bodypunches it would be a living hell for Mayweather.

It's very safe to say the speed in which Leonard woudl be throwing those punches would be far faster than anyone Floyd's fought, with perhaps the exception fo Judah who doen't have the power Leonard has. But if anyone things Mayweather can fight both Duran and SRL without getting tagged with something the likes he's never experienced before than they obviously haven't seen these two fight.

I read your post again, and you really need to watch more boxing. It's obvious that you've never seen SRL fight even on youtube.

Duran had a style that Floyd is use to fighting. Leonard in my book would be more difficult for Floyd to beat. Leonard was able to box and brawl, so if one fail he could rely on the other. So I believe Floyd would of had a better chance against Duran.

Floyd fought DLH at 150, so he was essentially a WW in that fight. Which is why I used that form of Floyd. Think more before posting please. Thanks!
