Garcia ducks Khan rematch for Morales rematch.

Really stupid rematch. I cringed when I first heard Oscar mention that Erik was texting him non-stop for a rematch. It makes no sense, especially considering that Garcia won the first fight by the skin of his teeth, in my opinion (I had it 114-113 for Garcia). Nothing short of a knockout will do for Garcia's hypetrain, and I don't think he gets it, considering he now has extremely overrated power due to the Khan KO, and fat, out-of-shape Morales hung in there for 12.

My guess: This fight was made in the wake of the poor Khan-Garcia numbers, where the fighters made more than Golden Boy made on the gate. Morales will sell due to his name, and they can bill this fight as a classical PR versus Mexico clash, yada yada yada.

So if EM wins, (was out of shape but still fared well in his first fight against Garcia) he then becomes the lineal unified champ at 140?

Rematch clause, as previously mentioned. Take it easy for crissakes. Khan deserves a rematch for what? Getting clubbed like a baby seal? Give me a break already with this ****.
Morales had a rematch clause, Garcia was not his mandatory when they fought, and for those who think Morales is not going to show up healthy and on weight are nuts. He's going to be bringing the fight you can count on it. This will be a better fight than watching Khan chasing his own head around the ring after Garcia thumps him, actually, come to think about it, that would be fun to watch again too.
Let Khan prove how good he says his chin is, let him fight Mattysse on the 15th of December.

 

If Danny Garcia was a typical Golden Hype Job then the fight would be stupid. He has more to lose then he has to gain, but that's what Garcia is all about. Let him give Morales his rematch clause and he will get in the ring with other top fighters soon enough. Garcia is no ducker, and in time I'm sure he will prove it. He doesn't strike me as a guy that just does this for a living, he seems like he lives to compete.

Ok so Morales had a REMATCH CLAUSE. Meaning it's really out of GBP's hands. So the Khan fans can stop crying now, k thanks.

 

Morales has the rematch clause, besides that he was much more competitive than Khan, in fact he might be ablt take him.

This is a typical comment from a guy who didn't watch the fight or pretended he was watching, no offense personally. Khan oulanded Garcia by a mile in the first two and never clinched, went str8 for the finish just like he told he would do. Garcia's ****ing dad was worried already by round two with his son nervous and cut. He just was swinging wildly and missed like an amateur but happened to catch Khan with the one shot. Still Amir never gave up and when Bailess asked him if he was OK, he said yes and they had a special camera to see it hrough Bailess eyes... Garcia fights whoever and he loses the titles and Morales doesn't have anything but heart and blood to leave on the ring.
