I think there is a big chance it happens 50 said in a few interview since Floyd has been locked up he wanted Floyd to fight on the east coast and in New York

oh ****. seriously...ur boy is a one armed fighter now. he has zero defense and is too predictable for floyd at this point. that would be a very one sided fight. plus, kirkland brings zero fans/dollars.

cotto makes all the sense in the world.

reasons:

pac don't wanna fight floyd

canelo isn't ready and may lose even more luster against lopez

martinez is going to be in a war with chavez...i doubt dec 1st will give him enough recovery time. plus i'm not sure floyd wants martinez

bradley ain't fighting floyd

cotto...he's the biggest draw out of all the guys mentioned that is willing to fight him. he gave him a run for his money and floyd has already admitted it was his toughest fight.

floyd has never fought at MSG. this would be historic.

that's the rematch that needs to happen.

Theres no point. Cotto won rounds 6 & 8. Yes the fight was competitive but it wasn't close, there's no need nor point to a rematch.

Don't see Floyd fighting in NY, even with 50's new license.. Don't see any point in the rematch either.. Like Leon said, "you beat Cotto once, congrats you beat him again." Only person he gave a rematch to was Castillo and that's because people genuinely had a case for Castillo to have won that. Close ****ing fight, not the same as the Cotto fight. That being said, I have no clue who Floyd would fight when he gets out, so it's quite possible... Cotto gets mad love in NY, 50 loves NY, his promoter license is in NY.. Fuuuuck don't let it happen!!
