I have always loved the lighter weights (Bantam through SFW are likely my favorites), but it always seems we debate and discuss the HW division. So I figured even if no one else joins me I am going to pay tribute to the Featherweight division:

    My top 10:
    1 Henry Armstrong
    2 Willie Pep
    3 Sandy Saddler
    4 Alexis Arguello
    5 Salvador Sanchez
    6 Vicente Saldivar
    7 George Dixon
    8 Abe Attell
    9 Azumah Nelson
    10 Eusebio Pedroza

    My favorites:
    1 Azumah
    2 Percy Bassett
    3 Vicente Saldivar
    4 Danny Lopez
    5 Jeff Fenech
    6 Bobby Chacon
    7 Bazooka Limon
    8 Boza Edwards
    9 Benny Bass
    10 Erik Morales

So what about you? Who are the top FW's? Who are your favorites? What are some of the best featherweight fights? Some lesser known great fights? Post some links!

Armstrong above Pep? Bold. I approve.

To answer your questions. Danny Lopez. Danny Lopez. And Danny Lopez.

Just about to say that I don't like Arguello over Saldivar but McGrain has put things right. Not sure I like Sal' over Saldivar either though

I'd take Arguello out of anyone's top ten and replace him with Marcel.

I find a lot of time it splitting hairs when you getting this level of greatness and often stump for favouritism or, if even that proves too difficult, went meany minee mo ;)

He lost to Roberto Duran. According to the MAG1965 corollary this excludes him from being a great fighter. Only great fighters belong on the list Flea.

    Good list.

Personally i would have Saldivar a little bit higher but overall a good list.
