I like these guys, but their fans are awful. I really don't think you can compare them to the all timers of heavyweight boxing, I mean not only is the division terribly weak, but there are two of them, working together and diverting any potential threat to the more suited of the pair, the way their fans ignore this sort of thing and seem to think they are some sort of tag team, who's wins count on each others resumes is absurd. Sanders brutally ko's Wlad, then a couple years later an out of shape Sanders is worn down by vitali and "the klitschkos took out sanders" Eh? And you see this sort of thing repeatedly, Wlad not rematching Peter until vitali had softened him up, Wlad taking out Byrd for vitali, chisora and Haye being swapped around to the better suited brother. Etc etc Good fighters but no all time greats for me, what do you think
Well you saw how they messed Chisora about. Frankly this is not like me but for once I agreed with Chisora slapping Vitaly and spitting water at Wladimir. These guys just take to many liberties and they are as boring as Hell.
I have a real issue with bunching them in with Ali, Louis, Lewis etc, they just not in that league imo
They will be never classified in the same level as Ali, Lewis etc as they always now seem to fight with the deck stacked in their favour. Dodgy three fight contracts, fighting the weakest of top 25 contenders (Manuel Charr anyone?) and always fighting on "home" soil sullies their legacy. Plus they are pretty dull to watch. At least Ali, Lewis etc fought in people's backyards. The Klitschkos will never do that anymore for fear of losing. All that said, they are head and shoulders of the current crop of heavyweights (bar Haye) and are a class act outside the ring.
Vitali fought Arreola in Los Angeles that could have been a robbery if it went to points fighting a Mexican in LA for the WBC title and we all know the WBC favour Mexicans.
The reason there opponents are becoming weaker is becaus ethey have beaten everyone else. Wlad's pretty boring but I enjoy watching Vitali fight, Wlas is hugely powerful when he lets his hands go, wish hed do it more.
Yeah.......... http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/The_Ring_Magazine's_Annual_Ratings:_Heavyweight--2000s
They are very clever in what they do. I never thought boxers from Europe would dominate the Heavyweight scene for so long and have most of their fights in Germany and not Las Vegas.
There is no way anybody will be ranked above them until they retire, every time you sign a contract to fight them you basically have to fight each brother twice before you are out the contract it designed so that even if you fluke one of them they will eventually beat you and will be deemed 'dominated' by them
I think you're being a tad Harsh. They're not exciting to watch, and they're very stiff, very European, fighting in a very weak era. I do think they would lose to most of the "greats" in the heavyweight division, and I can understand people not putting them up there with the "greats" but they can only fight who's available. There's just no quality there at the moment, but all they can do is keep winning and keep dominating, which they have been doing for years, even though they do it in a boring, safety first way.
Moaning mini's. They are the best by a wide margin, it's not their fault they don't have ATG opposition.
they are very good fighters but in my opinion they make it all the way to the door of the club inhabited by ATG's............but are turned away by the bouncers
British bull****! The Klits beat all their heavy's except Lewis who is Canadian Jamacian, and Lewis was happy not to give Vitali a rematch, Lewis was in a Life and death struggle until the cut, which was caused illegally. Ali is still the greatest heavy weight of all time though as he fought during the golden era of heavyweight boxing but was denied fights in his prime because of Americas war in Vietnam, Ali was not only a great fighter but a great person, so no one compares to him.
Funny I don't remember Wlad ever beating Corrie Sanders. as for Lewis being "canadian Jamacian", fine whatever. He still Stopped Vitali in 6 rounds.... You could make a shaky case for Wlad being a top 15 all time heavyweight, but Vitali? Nah, no way, his resume is really very weak.
