50 Slams Oscar -Golden Boy not promoting Floyd Mayweather

In what way are they different? A cocky newcomer enters the biz and thumbs his nose at the establishished flavor of the month. People laugh saying that he has bitten off more than he could chew...... Then he wins. Not only in rap but in buissness outside of music.

So, what's different?

 

Let me break it down for you.

Golden Boy are the biggest promoters in boxing, if 50 wants his fighters to be able to get on golden boy cards and fight golden boy promoted fighters he needs to have a working relationship with golden boy, and not be beefing with their president. (which he is doing now)

When your a rapper, you don't need to get along with every other rapper in the business to make money, you can still release albums if your beefing, in fact, it probably helps your sales.

Completely different scenarios.....it's common sense.

No. You say it's common sense, but you make no sense. You don't know what actually goes on behind the scenes of boxing or music.

My point is, he SEEMS like the small time outsider in boxing now. The same way he SEEMED like the small time outsider in rap then.

To remind you:

1. When he got into clothes peole thought he would fail.
2. People laughed at the idea of him buying Vitamin water.


Hell, when De la Hoya got into promoting and music people would say he needed to stick to fighting. Hee went on to win a grammy & go platinum in the music biz, and now has a succesful promotional company.

Don't underestimate 50 cent, I believe he is doing the twitter thing with a goal in mind.

I truly don't know how 50 does it, he has serious pull, even Oprah softened up to him, he even was bragging about receiving 20 million to do Tupac's Juice remake, with Souljah Boyatsch

 

Are you actually reading my posts? i just posted about five minutes ago speaking about how wealthy 50 Cent is and how he is possibly richer than Oscar and how he made a $100 million from vitamin water.

I don't underestimate his business acumen for one second, what i am saying is, beefing with ja rule 10 years ago and alienating yourself from doing business with golden boy promotions before embarking on a career as a fledgling boxing promoter is hardly the same is it?

 

50 boxed for sometime and hes in great shape. And a huge size advantage. Not sayin hed win but idk man lol

I won't be watching any 50cent promotion fights.

I think 50 is forgetting that in boxing you need to be in with the Mexicans, they're the big chunk of folks who buy these fights. Golden Boy and Top Rank know this. Even Floyd knows this, they've helped make him millions.

They can maybe have Floyd vs tba and Gamboa vs tba as your first card which can be great, but after that? You need cash cows, and Floyd is going to be 37 and he's in jail to top it off.

I think 50 thinks having money may is enough. He's going to realize he better make nice with Oscar.

 

50 cent is taking a risk by dissing oscar like this especially when it seems completly uncalled for, when ur new to the boxing game why try and make enimies, the thing 50 doesnt seem to have realised is mayweather is the biggest fighter 50 will props ever have and how long does he have left?

i will say however with floyd away from golden boy there might be a chance the super fight between floyd and manny might actually happen which is what all fans want to see.

 

50 Cent is pretty smart, he's become a multi-platinum selling artist despite not being able to rap for ****.

 

Oscar drops and stops him with a jab, despite of that 1,5 inch height advantage.
