his manager is trying to make a fight with paulie no matter what the wba wants. Yesterday the wba ordered guzman vs. cano for the wba 140 title after their wins on saturday. next in line in the wba rankings for guzman is lucas matthysee. i totally doubt guzman takes that fight. would u? we'll see :smoke

I also doubt that Guzman-Matthysse would happen.

Guzman-Matthyse is a hell of a fight, but I think Matthyse is scheduled to fight WBC long-time mandatory challenger Ajose Olusegon for the interim title at 140.

Who is Paulie really fighting. Every time I look, there is a new opponent. What happened to the original opponent? The Jewish kid from Brooklyn? Now he is going to fight Cano a 140 fighter. That belt will be safe for a while.

When has Guzman fought anyone of importance since his weight issues? Either he won't take the fight or he will balloon to 147.

I think Guzman vs Mathysse is a great fight. A hard offensive puncher with average speed is a very good opponent for a mobile defensive expert like Guzman.

Guzman-Mathysse would be good to see if Joan still got it.

Mathysse gives anyone at 140 a hell of a fight.

Great styles matchup but will only believe it when i see it cause with Guzman you never know he can fail weight he can fail some dope test whatever the dude doesnt seem to care about his career.

Cano would have whooped Guzman. Another very underrated fighter. Needs to work on his D a bit but he always makes for good fights and has fight stopping power.

    Actually make Cano-Matthysse!!!

Should be good. Guzman doesn't have much time to be wasting around he knows its now or never. We'll see if he's for real at 140 or just a future gatekeeper. Beating Funeka didn't prove much he needs to step up and Lucas is the perfect test for Guzman. A victory or good showing opens the doors to future bouts because Lucas has a great future himself and to most he's really undefeated.
