The truth is, boxing is a lot better with Mayweather and PAc NOT on top. I must say I blame Pac more than Mayweather but at the end of the day, who gives a ****.

Now that Pac lost and Floyd being locked up, everybody not on the MAy vs Pac bandwagon. They both are clearly not in their prime. Floyd likes to stand in front of his opponents the entire fight and Pac is being exposed for being fraud.

It is opening the door for real boxing matches and stars to emerge. The typical fake ass boxing fan walks around all day saying, "Man, boxing is dying" or "Boxing aint like it use to be". These are the same boxing fans that only watch the main event of a blockbuster fight at a fight party.

The truth is, boxing never died or was dying. In the words of Roger Mayweather, those are people "Who dont know **** about boxing". There are some great matches that has happen or upcoming.

You got Chad vs Ward and Chavez jr vs Martienz. I grantee those two fights will be more exciting than Pac vs May. We just had Lance Bute vs Froach, Lamont Peterson vs Khan, Khan vs Garica, Chavez vs Lee, Mike Jones vs Bailey, Lundy vs Williams, Haye vs chisroa, and etc.

We got new rising stars such as Canelo, Broner, Gamboa, Rios, Lopez, Danny Garcia, Donaire and etc.

Floyd and Pac has been selfishly hogging the spotlight for the fake ass boxing fans. The way you know a fake ass boxing is when you ask them about boxing, they will only talk about Floyd vs Pac or what they heard on SportsCenter. Think about all of the boxers they have robbed because Floyd and Pac haven't fought yet - Andre Ward dont get the credit he deserves, if Floyd and Pac have been fought then fights like Khan vs Peterson would of had a way bigger following.

To be totally honest, I blame Pac way more than I blame Mayweather. Pac has to remember that in the 90's and early 2000's, Floyd was unbeaten and considered the best boxer in the sport along with Roy Jones. Pac was at that time still building a name for his self and losing fights. Pac got really popular when Floyd retired. So Pac needs to stop acting like he is the top dog when it comes to negotiating. To be honest, if Pac was a real fighter and if he really wanted the fight, it would of happened by now.

The big difference is that boxer back in the day want the world to know who was the best, I believe Pac is just happy being considered in the same light as Mayweather. If I was Pac, I would be considering fighting Marquez for a forth time or Timothy bradley for a second. Pac shouldn't of been fighting Timothy bradley in the first place. If you Manny, and you have reach the top of boxing but you still have faced your nemesis, HOW IN THE HELL DO YOU MOTIVATE YOUR SELF TO FIGHT TIMOTHY BRADLEY. Timothy bradley only has 7 boxing fans that come to his fight and he has like 10 family members. That means his own family dont want to see that bull****. The only person who profited of that fight is Bob Arum, if Pac would of won then he still could make money off the Mayweather fight and the fact the Bradley won, he still has some with a title and the tag that they beat Manny to fight Mayweather.

In my opinion, Manny needs Floyd, Manny will have accomplished **** in boxing if he does not be floyd because he has not beating a fighter in their prime in a long, long, long time!

    It's nowhere near dead, it's the 'business' that's a hell of a F'ing mess.

Without one ruler, one king, one internationally viable centralised organisation, the mess continues unabated.

Revenues are at all time highs and the term "World Champion" actually means "World Champion" due to participation from international fighters.

That said, the business model, as a whole, is broken beyond repair; a total blow up and new structure needs to be put in place. Unfortunately the few who benefit from the current structure are doing everything than can to keep it in place.

It's easy for us to say boxing isn't dead since we enjoy so many under-the-radar fights that have been great. Outside of Pac and Floyd casual fans can't enjoy these fights because they aren't aware of the fighters involved. How many casual fans have seen and talked about Ortiz-Lopez?

It's never been dead, but it could be way better if it wasn't for the overabundance of boxers ducking the tough fights to protect their paper records, titles, or ¨0's¨ in case of people like Floyd

I must've missed that first one!

Well, boxing will never be "dead," but it's in pretty bad shape. I think bad decisions and paid-off refereeing is probably at an all-time high, which is really saying something. (I'm still seething over Castillo-Cloud)

Plus, never in the history of the sport have top fighters avoided each other like they do now.

Folks say that once Pac & floyd, Wlad & Vitali are gone, there will be a bunch of great top-level fights, but that's just foolish optimism. All the top-20 guys will continue to duck & pad their records, looking for that big payday. The only thing that will change is who's on top.

Couple of things where you are completely wrong. First off I was a boxer myself, had over 60 amateur fights and now train young fighters in two local gyms. I love the sport, and have dedicated my life to it on one way or the other.

I can tell you that boxing will never die, but it's not the same as it used to be...not even close. The reason being is because of the emergence of all the other sports like basketball, football, soccer, MMA etc. It's only natural that young athlete's go in other directions.

There was one point in time where there was nothing more prestigious than being the HW champion of the world, I don't think you can say that anymore. The HW division is basically dead, the middle weight divisionis good but nothing like it was when you have Duran, Leonard, Hearns, Hagler and many others.

Boxing doesn't have the same appeal and interest it once had and I know this because I used to go to packed amateur shows when I was fighting, now we fight in empty gyms where no one is watching except the family of the kids.

Sorry man but it's not the same, I can tell you are young and I blame your generation for allowing this once great sport to die off a little. No it's not dead and never will die as long as there are countries like Mexico and Puerto Rico where boxing is king but the days of the great American heavy weight might be gone or playing power forward for some NBA team.

As far as Manny vs Mayweather, why does Manny need Mayweather? He was the #1 earner in sports last year, is a 10 time world champ in 8 different divisions and came up from 106lbs to be fighting at WW now.

If Manny retired tomorrow, his legacy is SET IN STONE. If Mayweather retired and didn't fight Manny, he would be much more scrutinized.

Sorry man but you couldn't have been more wrong in your post. I been through the 80's, 90's and 00's of boxing, I seen them come and go and I know that boxing back in the day was just a bigger spectacle. Yes they are making more money now but that's only because of PPV and cable tv, if that existed back then, Ali would have had the world watching a single fight.

The problem isn't the boxers, its the promoters
