His sponsors require him to go to certain events. I believe it was Adidas who required him to make X amount og pubic appearances per annum for him to recieve his royalties. If he has any faculties left, do you think he likes being wheeled around like a vegetable for the whole world to gawp, point and feel sorry for him?
I agree, an I don't even think he looks that bad. Let's be real. He is an old guy! Compare your parents in pictures of when they were young and what they look like as old as Ali. Especially considering his added issue.. I think he looks like the average old guy.
damn, not looking good but then again I'm amazed dude wasn't dead like 10 years ago. gonna be soon and the world will mourn the death of the greatest athlete of all time. I'd imagine he lives for these public appearances though and socializing. That's Ali to the tee, he's a people person. Doubt he's being forced to do anything he doesn't want to.
he's like ****ing 70 of course he is gonna look terrible , i actually think he looks good considering the circumstance,oh and 70 is old real old considering avg life is like 75 yrs

He stood up to all the mean and "unbeatable" bullies (Foreman and Frazier), he never let anyone tell him what he could and couldn't do, he never quit, he stood up for what he believed was right, his heart and toughness was incredible, he came back when people counted him out, he beat the odds again and again.. I could go on and on about what a "hero" Ali is/was..
Pains me to see a childhood idol like this, but I hope he is doing fine. So many yrs with this crippling disease has to take its toll. God bless his soul.
I dont know how old people in this tread are but asking him to look much younger is just unrealistic for a 70-year old-timer who was born before the end of World War II. He is from the time of black and white movies... in fact he was a grown man before the colour TV was popular. He was long retired from boxing and an older guy of around 50 before the Internet even became anything. Let's be real... He looks old. Because he is.
It doesn't have anything to do with his age, it's to do with his parkinsons. Norton, Frazier, Foreman, Shavers...they are all round the same age (well foreman is younger by a little bit) and they don't look as bad. When I saw Old Joe Frazier I wasn't heartbroken at his appearance Ali can't even talk man As I type this I think wtf are you talking about
