What do you guys think of this fight. Soto should not be at 140. His power has not carried well there. I feel he should still be able to make 135 no problem. Soto is close to 5'10" and has solid skills. Last slick fighter he fought was Guzman and he lost a wide decision but Guzman ran non stop and Broner seems to like to stand his ground(other than PDL fight). I think this would be a great fight and probably even better than a De Marco fight. What do you guys think?
Not interested this would be a mismatch. Soto is pretty much finished, broner would have a field day with him.
How do you figure? I would favor Broner as well but it would be a good test at a higher weight. I hope you are not going by just the Matthysse fight. Matthysse is a beast and could be the hardest puncher p4p. Very very solid fighter who will get to the top 10 p4p if given the chance.
I'd prefer Mathysse vs. Broner that could bring the best in Broner or expose him like some ppl think...
Pretty decent matchup but I think Broner would just beat him pretty easily after the first 1-2 rounds.
I think Broner's next opponent is gonna be Hank Lundy if he is successful on Friday on 10/6 in AC. With that being said if Soto could make 135 again that would be a fun fight.
No just thinking that would be a good fight. Take your pick of guys I feel would beat Broner: Mikey Garcia (destruction behind Garcias piston jab) Rios (too much pressure for Broner) Guerrero (If he comes back to 135 or any weight really) Vasquez (outobxing him) Those are just the ones off the top of my head. I would say Guerrero and Garcia would have the best chance. Specially Garcia.
Fun Fact: They are cousins. ^ (DeMarco/Soto) As a test id welcome this fight, Soto should have never tried 140. @135lbs Humberto can perform a lot better & his punches have more zip. Good fight if it can be made.
Mikey Garcia would b a great fight for Broner. I think that Broner easily beats Rios though. But I would love to see Garcia-Broner.
Garcia gets knocked out. too slow, too small. Guerrero most likely wont come down to lightweight again. Rios is a tough fight based on his size and pressure. sink or swim fight for Broner Vasquez gets KO'd. Soto gets walked down drilled to the body and wouldnt be able to take his power. Demarco is the toughest fight out there.
I like Garcia. I think he's a terrific fighter. However, Broner is going to be a big 135 lber. and will be at 140 in about a year. Garcia is a FW. Broner is just too big for Garcia.
