There is no way, for me, that Marquez can be ranked at 1. The first 2 Marquez/Pac fights were close enough to go by the official verdicts IMO where I had Pac by a point in both fights. Also Marquez shat a lot of his career at 126 away. There were top guys like Cermeno, Espinoza, Cernosa, Vasquez, Kelly, Soto, etc. that Marquez never fought. And he DID turn down Prince Naz when he finally got the chance to fight him. :verysad We have to split hairs in this regard and that SHOULD could against him.
Marquez's management earlier in his career was shitty. You're right about that. If you want to go ahead and say Morales and Barrera rate ahead of him, I'm honestly fine with that. You'd get no real argument from me as I think all three of them are on the same level and each has their own strengths and weaknesses when dealing with stylistic issues and resume issues.
Marquez Morales Marco antonio in that order but there all great longevity gives marquez edge contrary to what that poster addie always said marquez didnt have
From everything I've seen over the past couple years on various forums and talking with people, Barrera seems to be placed behind the other two 90% of the time. I'd agree with that sentiment as Morales and Marquez both had better performances against Pacquiao than Barrera ever did (along with some other factors too of course).
Morales Barrera Marquez I've always felt that the wins Barrera had against Morales edged him out with Marquez. Also the Barrera vs Marquez fight, which in my opinion was closer then to the actual scores, but nevertheless a faded Barrera gave a competitive fight against Marquez. That's kinda why I have Barrera ahead and there are more details about their earlier careers also have to do with it such as Marquez not having a good early and sort of mid career as the other two, but that's another story....:bbb
Barrera/Marquez at 126 would have been ****ing fantastic. Barrera was just as good a boxer IMO as Marquez when he had that little period of reinvention. Beautiful jabs and tight defense, even contered the counterer and dropped Juan :yep
MORALES is absolutely GODLY!!!! Some of Y'all don't know **** about boxing. What makes Morales unbelievable are his intangibles that Barrera and JMM DON'T have!!!! Hes a ****ing thug in the ring and can win fights on that quality ALONE! To go along with that, hes CAGEY as **** and his boxing skills horrifically underrated! The dude is a maestro in the ring yet a warrior in the trenches at the same damn time!! At the same damnnnn time!!!! **** OFFFFFF ALLL OFFFFFFFFFFFFFF Y'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!
Not sure why turbo is so on fire about this???? It seems to be a consensus that all 3 are so close that there is no real unequivecal answer. they are so close that any order is fair.
Heart says Morales over everyone. But brain says: Marquez Morales Barrera You could easily make case for Morales #1 though.
I do rate Louis above Ali, Armstrong above Pep and B. Leonard above Duran...so do many....They are so close that only a person with a biased agenda could not see this!!!! You seem to be a decent poster, just not sure why you have an agenda when most everyone else sees how close these 3 really are!
