well, probably they had negotiation and with other boxers, like Pavlik , De Geale etc but they refused to come in Canada to fight for "peanuts"

Grachev beat Sillakh , so is a decent fight with a "C +" class fighter or if y'all want to call him a tomato can , as y'all wish . :)
I think they wanted to find a guy with similar style and heavy handed like Froch and they dealt with this guy for a fight.

im not saying hes gonna beat bute. but, he may surprise many with his performance. watch. bute doesnt like pressure. froch went right at him. he saw the andrade fight. another dangerous fight for bute. grachev is an aggressive fighter.

This isn't to bad of a fight. You can promote it decently since Denis derailed the Sillaykh Express. Sold opponent for Bute on the comeback but may be too solid imo

He is not very good, but understandable fight for Bute.

The fight is for a Light Heavyweight title because the Russian who boxed only in the US since he started his career is the NABF champ.
    What this means? :think

You said the same about Carl Froch. You still say the same about Kelly Pavlik. :huh

Good choice if this is who he fights. He is young and unproven, but is talented and hits hard.

good tuneup for Froch, glad they picked a pressure fighter to prepare. Pavlik would have been my preference but Grachev will do more for Bute to prepare him for Froch than OOzi****its, Stevenson, De Gale, none of which apply as much pressure as Grachev.... It's a smart choice imo.....Iron chin, pressure and good power. Bute should not go for an early KO if irt presents itself, he needs rounds against a pressure guy.

bute by vicious body shot KO. grachev is wide open for that punch, and bute's a league beyond.

hey ****** why don't you try making a point next time. how is this not a better choice than those other guys mentioned for a tune up for Froch?

it's not like it matters since Froch is gonna beat the **** out of Bute once again but Grachev who applies pressure has decent power and a good chin is a way better choice than Stevenson (glass jaw and no pressure- nothing like froch), De Gale (classic boxer- nothing like froch), Oosthuizen ( again no style similarities).....

Horrible fight. I don't think i'll watch this one. I was having great expectations from Bute , but he disappoints me more and more with this kind of fights. This is Jessie Brinkley all over again.
