Pavlik beats in television bouts people ranked 76th or 28th and even before first fight cries loud he could beat Froch.

Bute fights a top 15 LHW unbeaten serious prospect, indeed in a catchweight, ans some say is not tough enough or good enough in the perspective of a rematch with Cobra despite his last three victories against three previously unbeaten opponents, two being via KO including a very high ranked prospect in Sillakh.

He is a good opponent, only problem is when Bute wins it'll be 'He can beat Carl Froch' and '#1 SMW ATG'

 

Froch didn`t want to fight in Canada whatsoever beforea a fight on his soil...Feara of result?Now I think a lot of people see Froch havinga vacation trip in Canada...Will see..

One guy needed to prove his willingness to travel, and one guy needed a fight at home for the first time in ages, fighting in Nottingham was the logical choice.

If Bute had gotten destroyed like he did in Montreal, would he still have wanted the rematch AND to travel to England for it where he doesn't have things in his favor?? I doubt it.

 

After that pounding Bute just needs a confidence builder

I think Pavlik would be a good emulator for froch but thats a very risky fight. I know Pavliks been less than stellar defensivley but he still has a very good offense

any way i do think Bute has a good chance of winning fight 2

not because im a very loyal Bute fan but because ive seen what he can do in the ring and ive seen Froch out boxed

i dont care how the first fight went ive seen way worse beatings avenged

that night we saw a nervous looking some what off Bute vs maybe the best Froch performance of his career

i bet ya Bute comes in a lot better and Froch comes in a little worse

 

Froch fights like this consistantly, the key to beating him or at least making the final bell is to stop him doing it, which I didn't believe and still don't believe Bute is capable of doing.

 

This match up is classic Lucy Ann; he's back to fighting his usual, disgraceful level of opposition.

Plainly, Bute and his handlers are cashing out now; he's got one big, pay day left in him, namely the Froch rematch. Provided Lucy Ann's Fragile Glass Chin does not get smashed into smithereens again then there will be a lot of interest in the rematch because Bute will no doubt look good against this no-name stiff and his fanboys will reconvene the circle jerk and once again delude themselves into buying into the balding Romanian's chances of beating Froch.

Obviously, once The Cobra taxes that ass for a second time, it's over for Lucy Ann :deal

 

That's because people expect more of Bute. Very few actually believe that Pavlik still has it. Even in the minds of people that dislike Bute, I think they realize he's still relevant to the sport.

Bute had a leg infection and was jetlagged for the Froch fight. He WILL turn it around and whoop Frochy in March :happy

 

My problem with the choice is that he doesn't have time to take on this level of opponent.He's not like Khan where he's back to square one because he has an upcoming rematch and whilst I appreciate he needs his confidence built,he doesn't have time to go back to the Montreal feeding frenzies.
No one with half a brain thinks Pavlik will beat Froch,and if anyone thinks it's acceptable to say thatBute only lost because it wasn't in Montreal is a)full of ****,and b) admitting that he's ****ing useless outside of Montreal.
Froch has Bute's number.It doesn't make Bute a **** fighter and it doesn't mean he still won't beat most SMW's.
It just means we've had a welcome reality check and he's not as good as many people thought.And bear in mind,if Froch had taken a tanking like that,he'd never get anywhere near a rematch.There is nothing to suggest Bute can beat Froch(remember the KO predictions? Oh how I laughed!) and if it was any other fighter the people saying he will win would admit that a rematch is a total waste of time.
Bute is still a great fighter,but now we're getting back to the old delusional stuff we had before May 26th.

 

Be interesting to see the rematch as he did avenge his previous KO loss to Andrade in style. I think Bute bottled it on the night and didn't have enough time to make decisions like he did in other fights.
