Dirrell is fast, but immature defensively with no inside game, and I think he knows he has a glass chin, hence the running.

You can't compare a fight which could go either way to these embarrassing results, if you have Direll winning more than 7 rounds you need to put the bath salts down. I could see how someone could have Dirrell winning but it's not the robbery anyone claims.

If it was in America and Froch came and spoiled a fight won 5,6 or 7 rounds (depending on your view) how many rounds would he be awarded? I'd put my house on it being 5.

 

I hate it when people call out-boxing an opponent running. What is wrong with you?? Not every fighter is a mexican-style pressure fighter. Watching a boxing clinic is not boring, and Abraham vs Dirrell was a entertaining fight, Direll boxed very well.

Plus, Abraham is a very big power puncher, getting caught with a uppercut/hook clean on the chin with no protection at all or without even expecting it im sure would knock out many people. Arthur A. has a tremendous punch.

 

JMM outboxes opponents. Mayweather outboxes opponents. Dirrell runs because that's his best defence. Dirrell had height and reach advantages over Abraham, so his tactics were appropriate, but once he started to tire and was knocked down-and it WAS a legit knockdown-he appeared to fold mentally. It's a big flaw in his game. There's a difference between a boxing clinic where the successor has an answer to every possible question his opponent asks of him, and what Dirrell does. He's fast and good at range, but if that fails he's stumped and either runs or holds or flops to the canvas.

Dirrell WAS outboxing Abraham, granted, but then Taylor was also outboxing JCC. Taylor WAS outboxing Froch. Don't be mad about it...

Dirrell's response to that DQ blow was dubious at best.

Not mad at all nor am i a Ande Dirrell fan nor have i gone out of my way to defend him i just think he deserved the nod over Froch and i'l give him the benefit of the doubt for the Abraham fiasco

It was an absolute stinker. All Dirrell's talent is negated when he's so utterly unappealing to watch.

 

Seems otherwise. A draw against Froch wouldn't have been a crime, but I really couldn't score that for Dirrell. Personally I thought he was lucky to not be disqualified-other guys have been for less than his performance.
