Was interested to hear what 50 cent is up to >>>

RAP star 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather plan to take the UFC head-on for the hearts and wallets of the next generation of fight fans, after forming a company that could dramatically shift the power-base in boxing

In a revealing interview with News Limited Newspapers, 50 Cent outlined plans to challenge the domination of boxing promoters Golden Boy and Top Rank "immediately", with their new company TMT (The Money Team) Promotions.

Mayweather has been co-ordinating raids to sign boxing's best stars from jail - he is due to be released August 3 - with 50 Cent negotiating the deals and yesterday signing Australia's IBF featherweight champion Billy Dib to a three-year contract.

"We want to change boxing," said 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, who's amassed a $110m fortune in the music game.

"The goal initially is to create a company by fighters, for the fighters, which breaks the traditional vibe of promoters taking advantage of fighters.

Expect to see billy back on HBO...TMT have already established a relationship with them.

Be interesting to see what sort of cards this mob puts on.

You reckon? Is Gamboa staying at 130? Heard he was moving up to 135. He
would be better off fighting Chris John than Gamboa.

I read 50cent want to create cards of the UFC model, where there are 4/5 main bouts rather than the traditional boxing model of 1 Main Event, and then undercards. So as a random example:
    Mayweather vs ???
    Dirrell vs TBA
    Dib vs Gamboda
    K9 vs Mundine
    etc...get the idea

makes sense for Aus guys. Split the Aus PPV as required. Compared to US the PPV is nothing or Mayweather, so after Main Event distribution Mundne 50%, Dib 25-30% and Mayweather/TMT 20-25%

Also, work the belts/ABCs out of the game. Perhaps start out with then for 12-18months, then just forget them as the concept grows. Perhaps, for example, call it Professional Boxing Championship, and give a belt to the peoples champ, the man who beat the man, like the old days.
